Hello.....anybody out there???

It has been quite a LONG while!

We are all doing well. This month marks 17 years since Lacie's diagnosis. This caringbridge page is almost as old!

Lacie is well. Hard to believe it's been 17 years - she will be 30 years old this July!!

I hope YOU are doing well too! Please leave a message or reach out to us on FaceBook. We'd love to hear from anyone who still may visit this site.

Check out some more recent pictures I've posted here!

Lotsa Love,
Tammy (Lacie's Mom)

It has been another LONG stretch between updates - but No news is GOOD news! For some reason, I decided to come to this page and reread some of my posts from the past and guest comments from the past. Time has flown by so fast. It has been 14 years since Lacie was diagnosed. WOW!

Anyways - tomorrow is THANKSGIVING and we have so very much to be thankful for.

Lacie is doing great! We celebrated her 27th birthday this year!! She is my only 'child' living at home now - so we are enjoying our peace and quiet for the most part! We joke about getting roommates and living like The Golden Girls!!

Kacie is also doing great. She and her family live about an hour away from us but we see them once a week mostly! Her precious daughter Maggie is FOUR years old now and wants a baby brother (hint hint).

Ben - MY FAVORITE SON!! Is doing great too! He & Vanessa were married last year and now have two beautiful sons!! Riley is five and Jude is one! We went through some hard times but my prayers were heard and answered! Ben is a wonderful dad, husband, son, brother! They recently moved to Florida - so we miss them, but are happy for the opportunities placed before them. They are chasing the dream!

Stacie - my baby is not a baby anymore. She is mother to my beautiful granddaughter Kamri - who is THREE years old already. She is doing great too!!

MY LOVES!

As you can see - I have so much to be thankful for. God has been so good for us and I'm excited knowing that HE always will be so good!

Much love to all - thanks for checking in. Please leave a message so we'll know you were here - or better yet, find us on facebook! Let's reconnect!!

XOXO
Tammy

It's been a long while - not sure if anyone ever comes to this site or not. Lacie is doing great! We celebrated her 26th birthday last weekend! Time just continues to FLY BY!
God Bless Yall :)

Wednesday, July 10, 2013 1:13 PM CDT

Another year has flown by in between my updates here. WOW! Last week we celebrated Lacie and Kacie's 25th birthday! What beautiful young ladies they are - I am so proud to call them both my daughters! Lacie is doing great! She is still volunteering (aka: hanging out) at the flower shop, and recently started volunteering at the American Cancer Society. Last year, she met a really nice fella (see pic above) and life is moving along for all of us!

Thanks for checking in!

XOXO,
Tammy (Lacie's mom)

It has been a long while since I've updated...Lacie continues to do great! She & Kacie celebrated their 24th birthday just last month. We are so thankful for Lacie's health every day and are so blessed with wonderful family and friends in our lives!! Life is GOOD!!

Love,
Tammy

D-DAY. Eleven years ago, Lacie was diagnosed.

Everyday I am reminded of the struggles that tumor has forced into Lacie's life. When I gave birth to her, she had two legs that worked perfectly, she was healthy. This is not the life I imagined for my child and at times it breaks my heart that she was given such heavy crosses to bear at such a young age. Yet, Lacie continues to amaze me everyday with her strength of spirit and determination. No matter what she is forced to deal with it, she fights through it and keeps a smile on her face. I am forever proud to be Lacie's mother.

Thank you for loving and supporting us during these years. Thank you for praying for us when weren't strong enough or were too angry to pray. Thank you for letting my girl into your hearts. She is so beautifully imperfect...how could you NOT love her?

Monday, August 22, 2011 8:41 AM CDT

It's been a while - all is good!!

Lacie continues to do GREAT! She & Kacie recently celebrated their 23rd birthday!! How blessed am I!!!

We are all doing good.

I have a new precious grand-daughter, Maggie Elizabeth Hill (Kacie's daughter) who is almost 3 months old and absolutely perfect!

I have an equally precious grand-son, Riley Addison Weston (Ben's son) who will be ONE YEAR OLD in less than a month!

Time is flying by!! I apologize that I dont have a lot of time to update here on caringbridge, but if you ARE HERE, please leave us a message so we will know!

We are all on Facebook - so find us there too!

Love & Peace!
Tammy

Thanks for checking in! Just a quick update to say that Lacie had her 1-year checkup yesterday and all is fine - stable, no changes, awesome! So, she is cleared for another year! Whoop Whoop!!

In my last update, I accidently said that Kacie's baby is due in March - well, I meant May. All is going well with her pregnancy - she is just so round and cute!!

Like I said, quick update. We are all doing well & chugging along!!

Love N Peace.
Tammy

Another looooooooooooong time in between updates, but we are all good!!! Staying busy!!

As you can see by the new picture above, Lacie has received her Service Dog - after 5 years on the waiting list - and he (Barnes) is AWESOME! What a great friend for Lacie! He is the smartest, sweetest dog a girl could ask for!! Lacie & I spent 2 weeks in North Georgia last month attending 'training camp' for her and Barnes. We got there on a Sunday afternoon & woke up Monday to 6 inches of snow! Atlanta, and practically all of North Georgia SHUT DOWN! We could not leave our hotel for FOUR DAYS! It was a mess!! Needless to say - we don't care to see any more snow for another 20 years!!

Lacie continues to do great. She goes back for her 1 year exam in March and we expect it to be uneventful. She is planning on re-enrolling at the college here in the Spring.

Kacie & her new husband, Ben are doing great. They are expecting a baby girl in March - she will join two half-sisters from Ben's first marriage. We are all excited about a new baby in the family! YAY!!

My son, Ben is doing good. He is a dad now - GEEZ! His son Riley was born last September and I am not kidding - HE IS THE CUTEST LITTLE BOY EVER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD! What a precious little thing!

And MY baby, Stacie, well she isn't really a baby anymore! She turned 15 in September - thinks she's 20 though! Man, she sure did grow up fast. TOO FAST.

I am staying super busy - at work and at home, but is is ALL GOOD!!

Thanks for checking in on us. I apologize for not updating more often, seems like Lacie (and me) spend more time on Facebook - so if you're a Facebooker (LOL) look us up - Lacie Weston and/or Tammy Lairsey Weston!

PS - I uploaded some new pictures for ya!

Until next time,
PEACE

Thursday, December 30, 2010 8:57 AM CST

It has been so long since I've updated....again! In between these updates, please contact Lacie or me on Facebook if you like!

2010 has been a busy year.

Lacie continues to do well! We are so thankful everyday for her health. She is 'finally' going to North Georgia on January 9, 2011 to attend Canine Assistants training camp. She will come home 2 weeks later with another addition to our family, her canine assistant dog! Lacie is so excited about this - we all are!

Lacie's twin sister, Kacie got married to an awesome fella in July. Putting a wedding & reception together kept us busy for months! It was a terrific day - everything was beautiful! They have already started adding to their family - expecting a baby girl in May 2011.

Lacie's brother Ben and his GF Vanessa became parents in September to my precious grandson Riley. What a blessing he has been to our family.

After many years of separation, the kids (Kacie, Lacie, Ben & Stacie) finally have an opportunity to get to know their dad and spend some time with him. It has been awkward at times, but they do love their dad and are happy for this chance to get to know him.

Other than that, life continues along and we go with the flow! We are excited about 2011 and the blessings it holds in store for each of us!

I hope yours is a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Friday, July 23, 2010 8:36 AM CDT

Wow! It's been a WHILE since I updated!! Life is GREAT!

Lacie continues to be just totally awesome! She & Kacie celebrated their 22nd birthday earlier this month! They both are such beautiful young women now and I could not be any prouder of my two special girls!!

Nothing going on with Lacie healthwise. She continues to have yearly checkups, bloodwork & MRI's - the last was in April and all is FINE! She has come so far since her diagnosis over NINE YEARS AGO!! She took the summer off from college - she was hoping to get her companion dog this month - but due to other obligations - we had to postpone that trip. We are hoping to go in November & come home with an awesome companion dog for Lacie!!

Kacie is getting married in ONE WEEK to an awesome fella. We have been so busy getting everything ready so her special day will be PERFECT! This coming up week will prove to be busy and hectic as we get closer to the wedding day! We are all so excited and happy for Kacie & her future husband.

Stacie (my baby) is starting high school next month! It's hard to believe! Seriously, I don't know where the past few years have gone - she should still be in elementary school!! She made the Junior Varsity Cheerleading Team and is really excited about that! She is awesome - just like her big sisters!

And Ben - he is doing pretty dang good too! He & his lovely GF Vanessa are expecting a baby in September! My first grandchild!! It's a BOY!! Another exciting time for our family! We are really looking forward to a baby in the family and have enjoyed getting to know Vanessa over the past months! She is awesome - like another daughter to me - and I'm certain she will be a terrific mother!

Me - I am fine too! Work has been busy and in my down time, just loving spending time with my sisters, my kids, family and friends. Life is GREAT!!

I hope YOU are good too!!!

Love & Peace,
Tammy (MOM)

Hi everyone! So much is going on since our last update.

We had an awesome Christmas and New Years! Hope you all did too!

Lacie is doing great. She is back in college after almost a month off for winter break. 1st semester was a little challenging, but it's over and Lacie is moving on and enjoying her classes.

After FIVE years of being on the waiting list, we received a call in December that Lacie has received a sponsorship to get a service dog. She is SOOOOO excited! She'll be presented with her sponsorship on Tues, Jan 19 - AND THANKS SO MUCH TO WINN DIXIE AND MILKBONE for sponsoring Lacie and her dog! Really, this is so exciting. If any of you locals want to support Lacie - be at Winn Dixie at 10am on Jan 19!! There have been some commercials on tv about milkbone and Canine Assitants on tv = maybe you've seen it - about their partnership - helping disabled people get a service dog. Go to milkbone.com and check it out.

Kacie Faye & her boyfriend, Ben are engaged! We are so excited about this too and busy planning a July Wedding, The LOVELY LACIELOVE will serve as Maid of Honor!!! Stacie is a bridesmaid and so is Ben's beautiful daugher Kayla!! I could not ask for a better Son In Law!!

Lil sister Stacie is good. She made the soccer team at her school so we'll be busy with practice and games soon!!

And lil brother Ben is good too! He has a sweet girlfriend named Vanessa and hopefully she is keeping him straight!!

Thanks for checkin in!! LEAVE A MESSAGE we love to hear from YOU!!!!!!!!!

It's been a while. I figured it's that "time" to update you all.

First of all - Lacie is doing great. She had her yearly checkup last month and all is good. Her MRI is unchanged, bloodwork is awesome!

As most of you know, Lacie went to Warm Springs for almost a year to learn some independent living skills and for some vocational training. She came home in December. She hasnt been up to much since then but is getting ready to start taking some classes at the college here in our hometown. She's been wanting to get a part time job but they are hard to find and her physical limitations make it that much harder - so we are thinking about volunteering at the local hospital here.

This month marks eight years since Lacie's diagnosis and we are so thankful that she continues to do well. Many families are not as fortunate as we have been and we give thanks to God for blessing Lacie with good health over the years.

Thank you for visiting Lacie's site.

Happy Mothers Day.

Peace,
Tammy (Lacie's Mom)

Tuesday, February 17, 2009 2:08 PM CST

Lacie continues to do well. She will go to Gainesville the end of March for her yearly MRI and doctor visit. She wants to find a part time job but jobs are scarce so not much luck there, but we are still looking.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 8:49 AM CDT

As usual, I apologize for the lack of updates. All is well. Life is good.

Stacie, my mom and myself traveled up to Warm Springs to visit Lacie this past weekend. Other than the constant rain and tornado warnings - the trip was great. It was so nice to spend time with my girl. We arrived Friday afternoon - the four of us went out to dinner and then just hung around the "room" playing cards until bed time.

On Saturday - we drove into Atlanta to visit Lacie's boyfriend Matt who has been in the hospital for the last couple of weeks. Lacie & Matt were really happy to see each other. I know Lacie has missed him terribly since he left Warm Springs. I've sensed some "home sickness" or maybe just "lonliness" in her voice lately and I hope the visit with Matt lifted her spirits some.

We left Lacie at the hospital for an hour or so to visit and me, Stacie & Nanny went out for some lunch. We were so glad that Gary's son, Michael was able to meet us for lunch. I love that boy/man like one of my own and it's been a couple years since we have seen him. He always keeps us laughing and it was good to spend some time with him - talking about old times and catching up on whats been going on in his life. He brought his friend Ricky along - thankfully because Ricky kept me from getting SO lost in the hospital and on the streets of Atlanta. For some reason, my sense of direction seems to be failing me lately and well, outside of my little small town - I just get LOST, TURNED AROUND, SOMETHING.

We got back to Warm Springs Saturday night (inspite of the rain, rain, rain) and just as we were going to bed, the campus police came to tell us that we were under a tornado watch. Needless to say - I didn't get much sleep. I woke up around 4am and could've sworn that I heard the town sirens going off. I stepped outside for minute - no sirens, but the weather was horrible and very, very scary. By morning - it had settled down but still wet and windy.

Now, back to Lacie - she has completed the BIP (Brain Injury Program) and is moving along with some Vocational/Technical courses. She will be assigned a "work place" soon and begin practicing job skills - which she is excited about. Sitting in the classroom tends to bore her. She is definitely more of a hands-on person. If anyone would like to send her a letter or anything, she does love getting mail - so email me & I will forward her address to you.

I hope you all are well and hope to see a message from you in the guestbook here.

Love,
Tammy, Lacie & family.

Thursday, July 17, 2008 10:03 AM CDT

I apologize for the lack of updates - again! Lacie continues to do great at Warm Springs. I really enjoyed having her home the first week of July so that we could all be together to celebrate hers and Kacie's 20th birthday. We had a great party - in spite of the terrible storm that rolled through and knocked out the power for about an hour! It is almost unbelievable that my little baby girls are 20 years old now. The time has flown by.

The rest of us are doing good too. It's been a hot summer and due to GAS and EVERYTHING ELSE being so expensive, we haven't taken any trips or done anything out of the ordinary. Stacie has been bored and is ready for 7th Grade to start on August 13th.

I hope you all are enjoying this HOT summer! And hope to see a message from YOU in the guest book!

Love to all,
Tammy & kids/grownups

Wednesday, June 4, 2008 8:27 AM CDT

Just a quick update to let you all know that we are fine.

Lacie continues to do well at Warm Springs. I am excited that she will be coming home again the end of June for a week - a little summer break. She will be home for her (and Kacie's) 20th birthday and we plan on having a huge celebration for the girls. I am so proud of both of them.

School is out for Stacie. She has cheerleading practice a few times a week and cheer CAMP next week. She is all about the "Cheer Leading" and I am excited about going to all the middle school football & basketball games next school year - just to watch Stacie CHEER!! She is SO CUTE!

Work has been busy. Kacie & Ben are doing good.

Hope you all have a great summer!!

Love,
Tammy, Lacie, Kacie, Ben & Stacie

Thursday, May 8, 2008 11:33 AM CDT

May 8th, 2001, Lacie had her very first MRI. I was so worried – I don’t think I slept a wink the next couple of nights. On May 10th, we were given the news that my precious and perfect daughter had a brain tumor. We were rushed to Gainesville, Florida where she had surgery the next day – May 11th. It was on the Friday before Mother’s Day 2001. Lacie was “out of it” that next day but on Sunday – she smiled at me and tried so very hard to say “Happy Mothers Day”. I remember just being so very thankful that my daughter was alive – different, but alive and that was good enough for me.

“I never look forward to the trial. I don’t long for struggles because I am unsure of what they will bring. But the one thing I do know, what I see as a fiery furnace might just be the thing God uses to set me free. None of us long to be uncertain, uncomfortable or uninformed about our future, but we should be able to trust God to deliver us from whatever holds us hostage. We were not meant to be bound; Christ came so that we might be set free.” (Luke 4:18)

For the most part, I can look back over the last seven years and see the “good”. It does still hurt a bit – thinking of the perfection that we lost seven years ago. For a long, long time, I just wanted Lacie back the way I gave birth to her, whole and unharmed, perfect. It took a while to realize that she is still perfect – she is awesome. Through Lacie’s journey – our whole family learned lessons, we learned a lot – about love, trust, family, about God. I learned to trust that the God who created my daughter will care for her better than anybody else would be capable. I know that He loves her more than I can fathom (and that alone is unfathomable). I don’t need to worry about every little thing because I trust that God will deliver us from our trials – and I will trust that those trials will be used for His glory.

So, Diagnosis Day – it brings with it emotions and yet, these emotions are not as overwhelming as they have been in the past. Lacie has come so far. It is much easier now – to look at her and know there are so many opportunities awaiting her – and she is getting more and more independent. She WILL have a wonderful life – what life has taken away from her doesn’t even compare to what has been GIVEN her. She is so blessed. WE are so blessed.

Seven Years. Lacie is happier than she has been in a long time. She has a busy social life and some very special people who have come in to her life. She is beautiful. She is determined and optimistic. She is excited about her future. High school is behind her and she is transitioning into a young adult – who wants to LIVE and be independent. She is amazing and I am just so proud and lucky to be her mother – that goes for my other kids too. They are all amazing in very different ways, but each of them have taught me so much about love, about commitment, about patience and compassion, about being happy, having faith in God and in one another. They have taught me about LIFE. I am so blessed.

We will continue celebrate the endless opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead for Lacie and for all of us.

So before I sign off, Happy Mothers Day to you all.

I am SO proud to be Mama to my four beautiful children. Each of them have enriched my life beyond measure and I love them – Lacie, Kacie, Benjamin and Stacie – you all are my hero’s, my world, my greatest source of joy (and sometimes my greatest source of pain) but you are each beautiful and wonderful and irreplaceable to me. My heart overflows with LOVE for each of you – my babies always. My greatest treasures – what sweet, sweet blessings from God you are.

Wednesday, April 30, 2008 9:02 AM CDT

Hello Friends & Family,

I have been trying to update this page for a while but for some reason, the internet has not been cooperating. Hopefully – this update will make it to YOU!

We are all doing fine. We’ll start the update with Lacie – of course. She is doing great at Warm Springs. She has a boyfriend (Matt) who seems to be a really nice young man. They spend a lot of time together. She actually went to Atlanta last weekend with Matt & his mother to see him play in a wheelchair soccer tournament. She had a good time. She lost her hearing aide (again) and was upset about that last week. We JUST got her a new one before she went to Warm Springs to replace the last one she broke – I’m not sure yet if insurance is going to cover ANOTHER one so we are waiting to hear back from them. If not – we’ll have to fork over our life savings to get her another hearing aid – they are very expensive. It will work out though – one way or another. Anyway – she is staying busy there and it does my heart so good to know that she is happy there and is having fun and staying busy.

We are going to visit Lacie on May 16th. We’re staying the weekend and will attend Crystal’s graduation while we are there. My niece is graduating after four long years – majoring in biology; minor in psychology. She’s a smarty – going to UGA in the fall for grad school. We are so proud of Crystal – you go girl!!

Kacie is doing good too. She is finishing up this semester of college and working. She has a new boyfriend too. Well, I probably shouldn’t say boyfriend. She’s been “dating” someone for a few weeks now and he seems to be a really nice guy too. She is so awesome and such a help to me - shuffling Stacie around, and helping out at the concession stands (see below). Over the years, I have come to call Kacie my "Assistant Manager". She is such a help to me and she is THE BEST. I should probably give her a raise!! haha!

Stacie is great and is keeping me so busy. She made the cheerleading squad for her school and is so very excited about that. Plus she is still on the competitive cheer squad that practices 2 nights a week. She’s taking a tumbling class – that’s 1 night a week. Plus, we are working at the concession stand for the recreation department 1 night a week – to help pay for all these cheerleading expenses. It’s fun out there – we get to see a lot of people we haven’t seen for a while. She gets her report card tomorrow and looks as if she’s got all As & Bs so I am very proud of her for maintaining such good grades while being soooo busy with other things too. She’s awesome!

Ben is doing okay. Really no progress with him but I’m not giving up hope. I know that the Lord is still working on Ben so I continue to pray for him, knowing that God is in control helps me not to worry so much. It’s been a rough couple of years for me & Ben – I have worried so much about him – not knowing where he is, where he’s staying, what he’s doing. I realize though that he is his own man now – he will make his own choices and he will suffer the consequences of the bad decisions that he makes. I will do what I can for him – but ultimately, it is out of my control. And truthfully – each day, I realize more and more – that the CONTROL lies in the hands of God and he has Ben’s best interest at heart – he wants good for Ben even more than I do. I know this. And it helps ease my worry A LOT!! We all have lessons to learn in this life and I ran across a quote this morning that says a lot: “If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise.” -Johann von Goethe. The same is true for my Ben.

Me – same old thing. Gary & I are chugging along. Spending time together when we can. Work has been very busy for both of us so it’s not always easy, but we manage and we are hanging in there.

Relay for Life is this weekend – thank goodness THAT is almost behind me. For you locals – PLEASE COME!!! This is such an awesome and worthwhile event – and it is so much fun too! We would love to see you out there. Come eat a sausage dog with onions & peppers from our A&G booth!!!

Until next time – yall take care. Thanks for the messages – it is always good to hear from our friends. Speaking of – for some reason the message didn’t show up in my guestbook for like a month. Weird huh? Hopefully – kinks are working out and your message will show up promptly. We love all of you and thank you for thinking of Lacie – of our family – and for supporting us with your love and prayers.

Peace.

Hello!! It's been a while!!

Lacie is home for Spring Break. She's somehow managed to get 2 weeks instead of 1 week - due to Easter, they allowed her to come home Easter weekend and miss 3 days of classes rather than going ALL THE WAY back. That was last week - this week is actually Spring Break for her. Anyway - she will go back this weekend.

So far it is going well for her. At first she was a little homesick but now she's made friends and is getting used to it. She is looking forward to getting back to her dorm and her "new independent life". We will take her back on Sunday.

Unfortunately it's been a boring Spring Break. We did go to Jacksonville on Saturday for Stacie's cheerleading competition. It was a long day. Speaking of cheerleading - for some reason, I cant change the pictures in the photo album here so - it's full of stacie's cheer pictures.

I've been trying to put some new pictures of Lacie and her friends at Warm Springs, but I've not been successful. Maybe I'll try again later. Atleast I did get the one up top of her & her new friend Matt.

All is good. Haven't gotten any messages lately - we miss you!!!

Monday, March 17, 2008 12:27 AM CDT

Well, this first week without Lacie hasn’t been TOO bad!!

Yep, we got her delivered and spent all day last Monday getting her settled in. Of course, she calls me every day and she’s doing fine. They kept her really busy last week with orientation and this week, she starts the Brain Injury Program – which is a shorter day. The BIP is more independent living skills. After she completes the BIP, she will go to the Vocational program.

She sounds happy and enjoys staying busy but the idle time in her room is when she gets a tad bit homesick. She is allowed to leave campus (with permission) so my niece who lives about 30 minutes away has visited her once and picked her up on Saturday for a movie and a trip to the nail salon. That helps a lot especially on the weekend when Lacie gets bored. She will be home for Spring Break from March 31 thru April 7. She’s looking forward to that!! I am too! I do miss her!!!

If you'd like to drop her a line, I know she’d love to hear from you! Her address is:

Lacie Weston
RWSIR-VILS
PO Box 1000
Warm Springs, GA 31830-0268

Until next time,
Love -n- Peace,
Tammy

Well, it is done. Lacie is at Warm Springs and busy, busy, busy getting used to her new routine. We left her yesterday about 4pm as she was going to a physical therapy evaluation. She has a very busy week with orientation but next week should slow the pace a little bit.

She is very excited and has already made quite a few friends. It is weird to me - I don't think it's hit me yet that my oldest baby is 5 hours from home, living in a dorm, and starting her journey of becoming more independent. Needless to say, I am excited for her. BUT I can't wait for her to come home in 3 weeks for Spring Break! ha!!

If anyone would like to send her a letter or anything, just let me know & I will get her address to you.

Love & Peace,
Tammy

Just wanted to let everyone know that Lacie has finally gotten her admission date for Roosevelt Warm Springs!! She is leaving home in ONE week! She starts the program on March 10th!

She is very excited about this opportunity – we all are excited for her.

Nonetheless, it is hard sending her so far away from home for 6-9-12 months. We still aren’t sure exactly how long she will be there.

We just found out last Thursday so we don’t have much time to get all her stuff together, etc. But we will have a little send-off party for her on Thursday evening – March 6th. Don't tell her though = it's going to be a SURPRISE PARTY!

Anyway, I know that Lacie would love to see ALL her friends & family before she leaves so if you’re available on Thursday evening, please send me an email or give me a call and I’ll make sure you get the details (when/where) for the send-off party.

Love,
TAMMY

Long time no update, huh?!! Life is good. Work is busy.

Lacie continues to do great! Still no work from Warm Springs. Tomorrow, we travel down to Gainesville, Florida for Lacie's yearly checkup - blookwork and MRI, etc. She actually isnt due for her checkup until April, but we wanted to get it behind us just in case Warm Springs does get an admit date for her. I'll update again soon & let you all know how the appointments go.

Kacie is good too - still in college this semester - and working almost full time.

Stacie is loving cheer leading. Her team placed 2nd in the competition on February 3rd! They have their next competition mid-March in Tallahassee, Florida. Should be a fun trip. Oh, she made all A's on her last report card. Her reward was a sewing machine & she's really catching on! Her first sewing project was a pillow for Aunt Cissy. She stays so busy with school and cheerleading it's hard to find sewing time except on the weekends.

Ben still is doing about the same - unfortunately.

I am good. Work has been extremely busy - and I love that! But it does take away from my "internet" time. haha!

Until next time,
Love & Peace,
Tammy, Lacie, Kacie, Ben & Stacie

Hi!! I have nothing to report!! Life is good. Work is busy. Lacie continues to do great! No word from Warm Springs yet - still waiting. She stays busy - going to the flower shop 3 days a week, church activities about 3 times a week and ofcourse, spends a couple days with Nanny and Papa, she TRIES to help Nanny keep Papa straight! ha!!

We are all doing well. Kacie is back in college this semester - and working almost full time. She's busy!! Stacie is really getting into cheer leading. She joined a competition cheer squad and they are really very good! Her first competition is February 3rd! Ben is doing about the same - unfortunately.

I attended the RELAY FOR LIFE kickoff party last week! We will have a team there again for our FOURTH year. It's on May 2nd & 3rd - so mark that on your calendar to BE THERE if you can!!

Until next time,
Love & Peace,
Tammy, Lacie, Kacie, Ben & Stacie

Hello Friends! All is well here in "Lacieland"! I apologize once again for being so slack about updating - but seriously, it's been hard to find any extra time lately. Ofcourse, the holidays kept me busy - shopping, parties, etc. I am glad that is behind us. The new year has started and so far - has been kind to us!!

Lacie continues to do really well. She's met some new friends in the Young Adult/Singles group at church and has been hanging out with them 1 or 2 nites a week lately and she's really enjoyed it. Thanks to her buddy, Brad for picking her up and bringing her home from these events - even after our dog Cleo tried to eat him for lunch the other day! We still have not heard anything about an admission date from Warm Springs. Last word was that they were "hoping" to have Lacie enrolled by January or February. So we continue to just wait until they contact us further.

Kacie is back in college this semester - taking two classes and cutting back on her work hours just a bit. I am glad she's back in school. I was worried after she didn't take any classes Fall semester. She is doing great too.

Stacie too - she's doing great! She is growing so fast it's amazing! She is enjoying cheerleading most days = some days its a real workout for her!

Ben is doing okay. He's not living with us anymore - a little after-Christmas drama. He knows how much I love him though and we are "ok" - but we do have our issues and he/we still need your prayers.

Me too - doing pretty good! Work has been really, really busy - thank goodness! Me & Gary are doing okay - we have our issues there too, but for the most part - things are good with us. Even though we're living across town from each other - that sucks. But life goes on!

Well, I must get back to work. A boring update - but such is life.

Until next time,
Love, Peace, Joy,
from Tammy, Lacie & family
