Cassidy Faith Whitlow

CASSIDY FAITH WHITLOW

Welcome to Cassidy's Web Page. It has been provided to keep family and friends updated about her progress.

Cassidy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Neuroblastoma on December 22, 2003. She underwent surgery to remove the 3 x 6 tumor December 29, 2003. Approximately 95 percent of her tumor was removed during her first surgery; therefore, the doctors did not feel it necessary at that time to start chemo.

Cassidy underwent many follow-up CT scans, and in August 2004 her oncologist discovered that the remaining 5 percent of her tumor had doubled in size. A second surgery was performed September 8, 2004, where the remainder of the tumor was removed. At this time, her oncologist has decided against any kind of therapy and will continue to monitor Cassidy with MRI and CT scans.

We are blessed with an ourpouring of love from our family and friends to help us through this difficult time. You will never know what it means to our famiy. But most of all, we thank God for healing Cassidy. He is an awesome God!!!

A Father's Love

We hope everyone is having a safe and happy Holiday season with their friends and families. Cassidy is doing wonderful. She is very involved at school in the second grade. She was in cheerleading for football, and also second grade chorus as well. We have moved into our new home in Buford, GA and we are all settling in and adjusting well.

Cassidy's next CT scan is scheduled for Tuesday, 12/30/08. We are believing in positive results! ONCE the scan comes back clear, we will hopefully be moved to a once a year scan! Also, September 08, 2009 will mark five years since Cassidy's last surgery! Sonya and I both believe that God has totally healed Cassidy Faith and we are very thankful for that everyday!

Please say a prayer for Cassidy's next scan and for all the children and families affected by childhood cancer when you can.

Much Love,
God Bless,
Tom
