I haven't been on here in awhile but Taylor will forever be in my thoughts and prayers. i know really know what to say but keep up the faith. She'll always be there in the back of my mind telling me to do better, go harder, and encouraging me. Hello- I just heard about your beautiful daughter, what a wonderful life she did live- and an example of courage for all. hi there...i followed Taylor's story on and off for the past couple of years after becoming involved with the LLS Light the Night Walk. i remember reading of her passing and i was very saddened. and then i didn't think about it too much. i was at Samantha Lee's party this weekend, and Anissa Mayhew had a cd with all of the cancer babies pictures on it, and in the remembrance section, a picture of Taylor came across the screen, and it tugged at that heartstring again. i'm sorry to have forgotten about her story, but i'm glad to see that your family is doing okay after all of this. i guess last week was probably very hard for you guys. i'll keep you in my thoughts during this time (and life) of healing. <3

I just wanted to let you know that I think of you all often. I first met your daughter shortly after I lost my daughter (Alyson) to osteosarcoma. I had been getting updates from Susan Miller thru the years. We attended the walk last spring at Fishhawk and actually met one of your neighbors who spoke so highly of you. I just want you to know that if you ever need a shoulder, please feel free to call me. It has been almost 4 years since Alyson passed, and not a day goes by that I don't miss her. They say time heals, but we both know that is not true. All we can do is to continue to Walk in Faith...

Thanks for the update Mary Kay! It is so good to hear how you all are doing. It sounds like RT school is tough! I start the MOT program on May 12th and I know it's not going to be easy. Hi MaryKay,
Followed Taylor's journey. Our journey is that my 8 yr old granddaugther Macey King has Ewings, thought she was cancer free until friday. Tumor returned and now we go on the journey of how to treat her, Doctors at Up State NY were not to incouraging, we must work fast since tumor is in soft tissue and pressing on her brain,this is the same area it was to begin with. Has not spread to lungs and will be doing tests tomorrow. she had her max of radiation. Are you aware of treatments that have been successful, I know you have a lot of knowledge about this disease.I also realize her ewings is a bit different then Taylor's.
I pray God give you the strength you need and I pray to Taylor to encourage you through school and everyday life.

With Relay for Life coming up I had been thinking a lot about seeing Taylor at last year's Relay. I know how touched I was, just like everyone else, that Taylor was there. It was such a miracle to see her there -- awake and talking and asking (more like demanding) for food. How precious that was. Taylor touched my life as I know she did the lives of so many others. Am sharing two verses today. The second verse is God's own interpretation of the first verse. When dealing with all the "floods" and vehement winds beating upon us, there is only One Sure Foundation. Praying so as you face these "floods."
Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

A friend sent me this passage today and I thought it was especially good. There's nothing more comforting in life than knowing the source of our salvation. Know that I'm still praying!

These verses were part of my husband's sermon text today. This is a really good passage and speaks a lot to us all as we face a new year. Praying!
Lamentations 3:21-26 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

As the new year begins everyone's thinking about time and counting it down. So I wanted to share THE section of Scripture dealing with time. Praying as one year ends and a new one begins. Whatever this new year holds, the Lord WILL be with you!
