Welcome to Marina's page.Marina is a 7 year old 2nd grader at Robison Elementary School, she loves to play basketball and soccer.On Nov.7th 2003,Ree was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. ALL has an 80-90% cure rate now,but the 2-3 yr treatment can take a toll on the whole family.Marina's Leukemia is in remission and she is off active treatment as of June 30, 2006. Marina's wish was to go to Disney World and meet Mickey and Minnie. She got her wish on May 2nd 2005.Thank you Make a Wish and your volunteers!PLEASE consider becoming a bone marrow donor--you could be saving a child just like Ree. In fact, myself and Mike and 3 family members are now registered. I wouldn't ask you to do anything I would not do myself.Just call your local blood bank and tell them you want to register with the National Bone Marrow Registry and they will direct you.
