Welcome to Joanne's Page! It has been provided to keep people updated about our Princess Peanut. As you all know, she was diagnosed with OMS and Stage 2B Neuroblastoma on May 18, 2003.

On September 11, 2008 she will be in remission for FIVE YEARS!

With the Good Lord's help, and your constant prayers, we will eventually concur Opsoclonus Myoclonus(OMS)...

Well, Tuesday is the girls' first day back to school! YEAH!!! I can't - I mean - THEY can't wait! Scott and I met with Joanne's teacher this morning, and are SO happy to report she is going to be great! We are excited! Joanne already knows her, as she is her Kindergarten teacher's sister. So cool! 1st grade already - where does the time go?

Katie is in 4th grade now, and Sarah is in 5th... or so she says - crazy as ever. Sarah has an ear infection in her right ear and so is driving us crazy with whines...

Scott is doing good in school still, and I'm doing my best to hold down the fort.

Please keep praying for Joanne to remain in remission from the OMS - 4 months now, and she is still showing no signs of relapse!!! We are going to see a new neurologist in September - fresh out of school - to see if he will take over her case and be "in charge" of treating her. We are weaning the IVIg, and are at a loss as to the protocol to follow... We are excited about this as well!
