My “Easter Bunny” went off to the shop,
He bought me an egg and lots of chocs
And packed them into a cardboard box.
Then he wrapped it with paper and shiny string
It really was such a pretty thing.
Disaster struck when I opened the door-
He slid across the parquet floor,
He went round the corner and past the stairs
And finished up in a pile of chairs.
Of the Easter goodies not a trace,
he’d thrown them into my fireplace!

I have been following your story for the past few months. My son was diagnosed this past August and we are gettng ready to start our first stem cell transplant on Monday. We live outside of Boston and are being treated at Children's Hospital, Boston. The protocol has 2 stem cell transplants. My daughter, Samantha, was also DX with stage IV neuroblastoma in July 2001. It is strange to find someone's story so close to ours. Samantha is also cancer free. We stayed here in Florida for treatment. She is doing great. It makes me very happy to see someone raising money for neuroblastoma.

What a wonderful idea. I have made the donation in Patton's honor and I'm sure my friends will do the same. Our prayer are with you. Our only child was diagnosed at age 6 with ALL and endured 3 yrs of chemo and treatments. So glad that Payton is off treatment now and doing very well. We could hardly recognise her with her long hair and ponytail. Megan is off treatment now and only having scans every 3 month. Gin, I just read through the past journal entries as I have been out of touch for a little while and it brought tears to my eyes at how much you all have continued to go through! I'm so excited that it looks like the end is here and I will continue to pray that Payton and Madi grow up healthy and happy. Sweet Payton, as I reread the summary of all you went through, the tears came streaming down my checks. It brought back so many memories of what our two Peytons went through, little one and big one. It must be the name, our girls are fighters, survivors. Our girls who, most of the time, could find a smile. Strong girls!.. thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of your new hair do, Peyt laughed so hard, just because you looked so cute, with all that hair. We are so blessed, that the good Lord guided us to the wonderful Drs. and Nurses of Sloane, and Mom, one of these days, we'll be able to go for more than an hour, without thinking that the monster will return.
