the sun was shining 5 years ago on this day. it was probably a hot day in florida, but I could not feel the sun. nor would I know if there were any birds singing, if there was any music playing on the radio, if mail was delivered, if newspapers printed news, or even if tv was broadcast. the whole world stopped and stood still as I held my sweet baby nate and watched him take the final breaths of his 2 year-old life. there hasn't been a day since, that I haven't wondered an "if only" or a "what if". that's roughly 1,825 if only's and what if's, give or take a few. I love you boo-boo and I will always carry your heart in mine.
