Welcome to her website, it has been set up to keep you updated on her condition. She was diagnosed when she was 18mths on 2/13/97 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, she relapsed when she was 4 on 1/03/00, and when she is 6 she was been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She went to Wolfson Childrens' Hospital for a bone marrow transplant and the donor came from stem cell transplantation. Mercedes spirit departed us on 7/12/02. Journal Monday, October 11, 2004 12:44 AM CDT Thanks to everyone at the Ronald McDonald House in the Jacksonville area. Though it was our final experience with our Mercedes, there are some fond memories at that special home. Having gone through 5 1/2 yrs. of medical treatments with our daughter, left us in quite a shock to go back to a normal life. Though it seems like a lifetime ago, it's still like yesterday. We remain to be supporters and appreciative for all of your kindness. Links: |
