Jillian Rose Lamparyk
^^Our Line Leader to Heaven^^

Welcome to Jillian's Web Page. Jillian was diagnosed with pre-b standard risk ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) on January 5, 2001 and relapsed on October 7, 2002. She received a cord blood transplant at Duke University Medical Center on December 24, 2002, but relapsed again on April 28, 2003. Her battle finally ended July 8, 2003, when she became an angel in God's Kingdom.

Yes, it’s finally here… our long-overdue update! Jillian’s 2 anniversaries have come and gone. We sent balloons to her on her heaven day, July 8th, and again on her 12th birthday, August 11th. Wow… what would a 12-year-old Jillian have to say about what her brother and sister are up to?

Nathan is in 3rd grade now. He went to a variety of sports camps over the summer, and he just finished his first season as proud member of the Naples Hurricanes Pop Warner football team… full pads and uniform and daily practices. He’s still learning, but he really liked it. Nathan is also doing well in school and is looking forward to baseball season. That's his favorite sport. We enjoy watching all his games and seeing him grow and learn. He's a good boy with a big heart.

Isabel is 3 and-a-half now. She’s her own person… strong-willed and stubborn, but also very loving and affectionate. She still adores her brother, although she’s not always nice to him. We are working on her language development as she is lagging a bit behind, but believe me; she has no problem getting her message across. Isabel still loves the pool. She is practically swimming but refuses to leave the steps. Isabel only does things on her terms. She is hardheaded but funny. She makes us laugh.

And Jillian…we see her friends growing up, getting taller, getting older, and we can’t help but be a little a sad when we see them. What kind of a pre-teen would Jillian be? There is no doubt in my mind that she would be a smart, witty, sweet, and just all around fantastic 12 year old girl. But still, we often wonder what would she be interested in, who would be her friends, what would she look like? I imagine an older version of Jillian would be pretty. She would still resemble her Daddy, but perhaps a little like her Aunt Meg and a little like her Aunt Mary Lou as well. That is what we imagine. I guess we won’t know until we get to heaven. I don't think it matters though, because it is her soul, her spirit, that is so beautiful and that is what is with us every day.
