April Currier's page April is 6 years old and was diagnosed 1 Feb 02 with Wilm's tumor. She had her left kidney removed. She has had two relapses during treatment. The first was Jul 02. They did surgery to remove the lesions from her lungs in Nov 02. Then in April 03 the lesions were back. She lost her brave fight with cancer on Oct. 11th. She was at home with friends and family. She touched so many lives she will always be with us in some way. My friend put this in the weekly paper and thought everyone would like to be able to read it. In loving memory of April Currier 03/30/97 - 10/11/03
God saw she was getting tired, A cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms around her, and whispered "Come with Me".
With tearful eyes We watched her suffer And saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay.
A precious heart stopped beating Her body now at rest. God broke our hearts To prove to us, He only takes the best.

Monday, March 30, 2009 6:44 AM CDT Happy Birthday April!!
To everyone out there sorry it has been a year since I last posted. We are doing good.
Amanda started High School and made the JV cheerleading team. They rocked this year and won 1st at all 4 competitions they went to. Also at State they won Grand Champs which was the best of all the JV divisions!! We are so proud of all the girls.
Shaun is now 3 and is totaly addicted to video games. He plays Amanda's old Gameboy all the time. Also, he got a computer launch pad that takes him to fisher price websites and he loves that. It's hard to get him off them. Unless you offer to take him out in the Garage when daddy is working on the car.
It was a long weekend for us. On Saturday we went to the rely for life. Ocean Breeze Elementary did a team in honor of April and Brandon. The luminary ceremony was very touching. Then on Suday Candlelighters has their celebration of life picnic. We got to releas butterflies in memory of all the angles and in honor of all the kids going though cancer now.
And of course today is April's birthday. We miss her so much and no one has forgoten how she touched all of us. We love you.
Love, Mom
