April Currier's page

April is 6 years old and was diagnosed 1 Feb 02 with Wilm's tumor. She had her left kidney removed. She has had two relapses during treatment. The first was Jul 02. They did surgery to remove the lesions from her lungs in Nov 02. Then in April 03 the lesions were back. She lost her brave fight with cancer on Oct. 11th. She was at home with friends and family. She touched so many lives she will always be with us in some way.
My friend put this in the weekly paper and thought everyone would like to be able to read it.

God saw she was getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So he wrapped his arms
around her, and whispered
"Come with Me".

With tearful eyes
We watched her suffer
And saw her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
We could not make her stay.

A precious heart stopped beating
Her body now at rest.
God broke our hearts
To prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Happy Birthday April, we love you and miss you so much. I draw strength knowing you are in a better place and pain free. I thank you for watching over us and making sure we do good. You were such a strong and brave girl and you touched so many lives. We were blessed to have you as a daughter. It is so hard to believe that you would be 11 today. Hope you are having a great big party up there with all your friends and family that are with you.
