Hope this helps keep everyone updated since I can't seem to find the time to always write, and let you know. Michael was diagnosed with a brain tumor January 22, 2003. The name of the tumor is Ependymoma. Ependymomas arise from cells lining the passageways in the brain that produce and store the cerebrospinal fluid or CSF. (CSF is a fluid that bathes the brain and spinal cord.) These tumors are classified as either supratentorial (in the top part of the head) or infratentorial (in the back of the head). In children, the majority of ependymomas occur as infratentorial tumors arising in or around the fluid-filled fourth ventricle.

Wednesday, September 25, 2013 2:02 PM CDT Good afternoon everyone,
As you all know it has been just over 7 years since Michael has passed away. The past 7 years have been a challenge as I am sure you can all imagine. I have been struggling with what I want to do with life. I have some great news I finally have found some peace, and I have decided to start a non profit organization. The organization will be in memory of Michael, and will help families who have critically ill children. There are so many organizations out there raising money to find a cure for this nasty monster.
I will be starting a non profit organization that will help the families. Most people do not understand how much it costs not including medical bills. Michael's foundation will help with food vouchers, gas, Christmas, and other daily expenses. Our goal is to take at least a little of the stress away.
