Sunday, August 04, 2002 at 04:08 PM (CDT) Hi, I am Michael. Today I found out how to make Maurice's story more public with this page here.
His Optic Glioma was diagnosed seen in July 2000. He had these wobbling eyes what is called an nystagmus. we tried the "wait and see" Strategy but in March 2001 we had progression so we decided to start Chemo with Vincristin and carboplatin. Chemo brought us stabilisation and an allergic reaction after week 25. So we tried also Cisplatin and cyclophosphamid for the second half of the protocoll. result was again stabilisation so we decided to stop Chemo and try an immunbiological tratment. But at the moment we have to convince our health insurance company to pay for that.
Feel free to contact us for Questions or recommendations. All the best to you guys outside from a very rainy Germany.
Michael
