Eagan, Minn. (October 29th, 2009) — CaringBridge, a Minnesota–based nonprofit web service, recently hired Stephanie Malone as development officer. Malone will ensure the strategic initiatives of CaringBridge are supported by the generosity of a wide philanthropic community.
Since 1997 Malone has worked in fund development for Minnesota nonprofits, including the American Cancer Society, Augsburg College, Concordia University–St. Paul and the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and also is a candidate for a master’s degree in public health administration and policy from the University of Minnesota.
CaringBridge is a charitable nonprofit organization providing free, private websites that connect family and friends to share information, love and support during a serious health event, care and recovery. The personal websites save time and energy by centralizing communication and easing the burden of updating everyone during a health event. Each CaringBridge site is unique — authors select their website design and add health updates and photos to share their story while visitors leave messages in the guestbook, creating a network of support for the patient.
