Hello!

I had my regularly scheduled 4 month MRI yesterday and it was all clear! I am now 39 months in remission!!! My next one will be in January. We all feel incredibly blessed especially when we returned home from Children's and there was a double rainbow over our house. Wow...what a feeling!

Happy Spring!

I am so happy the weather if finally getting warmer. Colorado had a terrible winter. I had an MRI yesterday and the results were great!!! It's now been 36 months since my last relapse. YIPPPPEEEEE. I'm looking forward to having a fabulous summer.

Happy Summer!

I'm enjoying my summer so far. I had a clean MRI on May 2nd. We did spend Mother's Day in the ER due to my shunt malfunctioning. Dr. Handler decided to just watch it instead of doing surgery right away. So far it's behaving. We spent Father's Day weekend in Grand Lake. This past weekend we flew in Grandpa Neil's King Air to Casper for an event our family was hosting for Children's Hospital. That was a lot of fun.

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm doing great. I had an MRI last Wednesday and it was all clear. My next one will be in early May. I am now free and clear to go to Cabo San Lucas over Spring Break the end of March. We are going with the Roemer's and we can't wait. My cousin, Aubrey, is also going to help with all the responsiblilites of 5 kids. I want to go deep sea fishing and just have a blast. We are staying in a Villa that has it's own private pool. Hi,

I started 3rd grade on August 22, 2005. I turned 9 a couple weeks ago. The highlight of my summer was going to Martha's Vineyard and catching a Sand Shark. My friend, Reid, caught one too. Hopefully dad will change the pictures soon so you can see it. I have an MRI the end of September. I am 9 and feelin fine!!!

Happy Summer!

I had a good MRI June 28, 2005. It showed no sign of tumor. I am now 14 months out from my last relapse. My shunt has been giving me some problems lately. Hopefully it's not malfunctioning. I've been to Grand Lake a few times this summer and have caught some great fish. I'm hoping dad will post the pictures soon.

Hi,
A lot has happened since I last wrote. I spent Thanksgiving weekend in the hospital due to another shunt malfunction. I then spent about 5 days in the hospital in December right before Christmas. Dr. Handler placed a monitor in my head to try to figure out if it's the shunt causing my headaches. It's not. I've been on several different medications to try to stop the headaches, but to no avail. My parents weaned me off all the meds and we're going to re-evalutate in a couple months. The last medicine turned my brain to mush and was making me act in ways I normally don't. I'm feeling a bit better now. I had a good MRI in January. My next one is March 28th.

Hi,

I just got home from Disneyland. It was so much fun! If only my spikes were a little bit higher, I could go on a few more rides. School is going well. I got 100n last weeks spelling test and got 3 bonus words. Yipee. I continue to have a lot of headaches. The medicine I was given a month ago isn't working. I have an appointment next week and will probably get something new to try. I have an MRI tomorrow. It should be fine. We got a ton of snow last night.

Hi,

I had emergency surgery on May 28, 2004. My shunt malfunctioned. I had a pretty rough night and ended up having surgery again on May 29th. I finally came around and went home on the 30th. I had a really good week and even finished that week of school. I had my tumor removed on Monday June 7th. Dr. Handler said it just "popped right out". The surgery took a lot less time than expected. I was in PICU until Wednesday June 9th and then came straight home because I was doing so well. I can go swimming as soon as my stitches come out. My parents and I have an appointment with Dr. Foreman on June 30th for a checkup and to discuss chemo. On August 3 we have an appointment with Dr. Weng, the radiation oncologist. I'm going to have some really intense radiation and probably miss a lot of school at the beginning of the year. Today was quite the day. I LOST TWO MORE TEETH. I'm grinning ear to ear I'm so pleased.

Hello Everyone,

I'm writing to you on May 23, 2004 and have some news that my parents and I need to share with all of you who are so supportive of me. We learned last week that my brain tumor has come back again and I will need to have surgery on June 7 to remove it. At my regularly scheduled MRI a week ago, Dr. Foreman and Dr. Handler found a small recurrence. It's about 7 millimeters and in the same location of the other tumors. After the surgery, I will be in the hospital for 4-5 days and then I plan to get back to my summer activities. After the surgery, we don't know what the follow-up treatment will be, but we will keep you posted through e-mail and through this website. I'll have my dad put some new pictures in soon, too.

Thanks for your continued support and prayers. I will keep checking the guestbook to see how many visitors I have.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a long time since I've updated this page (actually since my mom and dad have done it). I want to let you all know that I am doing well and had another great MRI and checkup in November of 2003. I got to go on a Disney Cruise to the Caribbean in September and Grandpa Gordy and Grammy Penny are taking our family to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico the week of January 18, 2004. I'm getting really spoiled with all of this travel to warm tropical places with soft sandy beaches.

I had a great Christmas, but was ready to return to school in January -- and mom and dad were ready too. We spent New Years at Grand Lake in Grandma Carol and Grandpa Pat's new log home. It was a lot of fun. I got to ride a snowmobile with dad and it snowed almost the whole time.

I promise to make my mom and dad update this page more often this spring and summer. Check out my new pictures too!

Hi Everyone,

I haven't written in too long! Things are going well. I've been asked to be an Ambassador for Children's Hospital. So far I've been in 2 fashion shows. Last weeks fashion show was called the Av's Better Halves. Mom, Dad, and I got spend almost an entire day with the Colorado Avalanche players. I think Mom and Dad were more excited than I was. The players are so cool and really fun to be around. Check out the pictures. I've also attended several fundraising events. Mom is staying very busy with being a member of the oncology board, taking me to all my functions, and working closely with the Children's Hospital Foundation raising money for the hospital.

I had a 2 week spring break. We got a huge blizzard that shut down Denver for a week. We then went to Ojai, CA. Dad, Ellie, and I joined Mom for her yearly spa trip with Grandma Carol. It was a lot of fun, but I think Mom prefers to go by herself.

I had a really good MRI today. No signs of tumor. Yeah! My next one will be in June. I'm loving school. My best friend, Nicholas, just moved back from California and I'm so excited!!! Hello Friends,

It has been a long time since my dad has updated my page, but you will see some new pictures and I will tell you about what's going on my life. I had a great Christmas and New Year and my family went to Grand Lake for New Year's Eve. We went snowmobiling and played in the deep snow. I am half way through Kindergarten now and loving my school and my new friends. I have another MRI coming up in a few weeks and give you an update on the results as soon as I have them.

Hi,

I had an MRI on Oct. 3rd. It was clear. YEAH! Everyone was surprised since I've been acting so bizarre lately. Dr. Foreman said we could do a spinal tap, but he doesn't want to at this point. So, it was decided to stop my growth hormone for a week or so. That didn't seem to help, so I'm back on my daily shots.
School is great. I'll be on Fall break the last week of October. Dad will, too, so we'll have some fun!

Hi Everyone,
It's been awhile since I've updated you and my comings and goings. I started kindergarten 8/21/02. I go everyday, but on MWF I stay until 3:15. For the month of September, I stay until 4:00 on MW because I'm taking karate lessons. I love it, but boy am I tired when I come home. I can hardly speak or think. I'll also be starting Spanish classes again in the next week or so.
I'm doing well, health wise. My next MRI will be the end of October/beginning of November.
Ellie and I get to have a motorhome trip with Grammie and Grampa September 20-22nd. We are so excited. We're going to Colorado Springs to see Santa at the North Pole. Ellie's never been, so I'll be her tour guide. Mommy and Daddy have some fancy party to go to for the Children's Hospital.
Mommy, Daddy, Ellie and I got to ride in Uncle Mic's new helicopter last week. It was so cool! I think Daddy liked it the best!

Tanner started Kindergarten on August 21st and is loving it! He goes for a full day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and half days on Tuesday and Thursdays. Tanner goes to Greenwood Elementary and he especially likes his teacher, Mrs. Klingler. Tanner will have another MRI in October and we're all hoping for the best!

Tanner had his MRI today, Monday, July 29, 2002 and it was absolutely fine. No changes from his previous MRI. Now he's bugging us about his birthday party and kindergarten. He really wants a skateboard and Dr. Foreman it's OK, as long as he wears a helmut and knee and elbow pads. We're so excited about this great news! His next MRI will be in October.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!! I'm going to the beach tomorrow. Mom and Dad surprised me and Ellie with tickets to Ft. Lauderdale. Grammie Penny gets to come, too! I'm all packed and ready to go. Yesterday Dad and Big Brian took me and Ellie to see Scooby Doo. We had a great time. We hope to see Stuart Little 2 next week when we get home. We'll be home July 16.
My next MRI is July 22 at 7:15 a.m. We'll have to get up really early to make it down to Children's by then. Of course, I already get up at 5:00 every morning. Makes my parents so very happy!!!
I'll have Dad update the photo's when we get back from the beach.

Happy Summer!

I love the warm weather. I've been going to the pool everyday this week. However, I really want to go back to the beach in Florida. Mom and Dad are going to see what they can do about it. I also want to go back to Disneyland. I think I'll enjoy it more this year. I was just too sick last June. I don't think Mom and Dad are up to going again, though!

My growth shots are going well. I had a seizure a couple days after my last MRI. Scared my parents pretty good. I haven't had one since. My next MRI will be in July.

Happy Spring!

My growth hormone has arrived, but I haven't started taking the shots yet. Mom and Dad are going to California March 23-27 and I'm going to be having TOO much fun with Grammy to be messing around with the shots. So, I'll start taking them as soon as my parents get home.

The article about Martha Byrne and me will be out in the April 2nd issue of Soap Opera Digest. Mom got an e-mail confirming that yesterday.

My parents have picked out a great school for me next fall. I'll be attending Greenwood Elementary and I'm very excited about it. It's in Greenwood Village where a lot of the Bronco, Rockies, and Avalanche players live. Maybe I'll be able to get some good autographs to go with my Ray Bourque stuff!

Hi Everybody,

My growth hormone injections should be arriving in the next week or so. I'll be getting daily shots, but that's ok, because if I don't start growing, Ellie is really going to start "whoopin me".

Some of you know that Martha Byrne from As the World Turns recorded a special song all about me a few months ago. She did this through the Songs of Love Foundation. Well, today Jennifer Lenhart from Soap Opera Digest called and asked if she could write an article about Martha singing the song for me. It should be in the March 26th issue. How exciting that I'll be known nationally! And I thought I was already a pretty special boy. :)

Great news -- we just got home from my MRI today and it was perfect. Nothing in my head except a brain! We'll have another MRI in three months. Now it's time to go back to the Endocrinologist to get back on growth hormone so I'll be big enough for Kindergarten next year. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!

I have an MRI on January 28th @ 11:30 am. Dad will post the results when we get home. Mom had lunch today with Dr. Foreman, my neuro-oncologist. He doesn't expect the tumor to be back yet, but if it is, he said nothing else can be done. Please pray for me and my family for a good report on Monday. I love you all!

Hi everyone! I have some exciting news to share. Dad just booked a Disney cruise for the 4 of us. We fly to Port Canaveral, Florida on December 28th and then cruise for 7 days. We'll also go to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Disney's Castaway Cay. Ellie and I are sooo excited about the big ship and seeing all our Disney friends again.

What a long day, however, I have great news. Dr. Foreman said there was absolutely no tumor. I'll have another MRI in 3 months and then 3 months after that. If there is still no tumor, then I'll start taking growth hormone shots again.
