Joshua's Journey............ cancer SURVIVOR!!!
This is the journey of a remarkable little boy who continues to amaze all who know him!!! For those who are new to the website, you can read our whole story in the journal. I have moved it because it took up so much precious space. Joshua finished his chemo for relapsed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in November, 2007. He is still currently having seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy and a mild form of autism. Joshua is starting grade 1 in September, 2008. This is our story, with all the honor and credit going to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We continue to appreciate all those who have entered our lives through this illness, and are thankful for all your continued prayers, which are very needed. I hope you enjoy the music, and please leave a message in the guestbook. We love to know who is sharing this journey with us.
God bless, Naomi
If any of you are new to this site and want to hear about Joshua's wish from the Children's wish foundation, you can go back in the June journal entry. He got a WONDERFUL play structure that was built by the Winkler police and friends. Thank you to everyone who participated!!
Joshua took his last chemo pill on November 19, 2007. We are currently on the "off treatment" couch. We, as a family are very blessed to have reached this point. Thanks be to God.... "Normal", as we know it will now change.

Joshua had his 8 month off treatment appt today.. and everything looks awesome! His body needs to be built back up on some vitamins and minerals, but other than that it looks good. He is scheduled for dental surgery on August 22. He needs a few fillings and a good cleaning. This will be done under general anasthetic.
It's our 12th wedding anniversary on August 4th, so Jake and I are heading to Fargo for the weekend... with NO kids!! Yep... just the break we need. I think we will come back quite refreshed and ready to face our everyday challenges with a new perspective. The kids will be staying at home by themselves... just kidding. We have people coming in two shifts to be with them. It's wonderful that we have people like that in our lives. Not everyone can do this... and I appreciate all the people who help us out on a regular basis!! We give thanks!!
So... happy long weekend to all our Canadian friends!! And a regular happy weekend to the rest of Joshua's loyal followers. God bless!!
Naomi
