Journal
Friday, February 15, 2008 Ah - for those who still check this website, I am sorry it has taken me so long to update it. Life is just busy - and that is good. Noah finished his 3 1/2 years of chemo on Sept. 29th, 2007 and things are going well. He got his portacath removed from his chest in October which he was so happy about. Noah is doing great in 1st grade, loves being a tiger cub scout, and is playing machine-pitch baseball (single A league) now. He has quite an arm and throws real well!
We have been saddened by the loss of a few friends recently, both related to blood cancers. Keep keep on fighting to find a cure with us, in any way possible.
I also was awarded some trophies from the Leukemia Society recently on our tremendous fundraising for Light the Night last September. Our team came in 4th as the top Friends and Family teams, raising more money than some corporate teams! They surprised Dylan and Noah with a gift - a signed baseball from Angel's player Vladmir Guererro (spelling?) and their jaws dropped in amazement! I am proud to keep fundraising and fighting to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma - even if one step at a time.
I will do better in keeping up with this site, I promise. Email us anytime and drop Noah a note that you are thinking of him. He is an amazing boy - and we are so blessed. With love to all of you! Amy*David*Dylan and Noah Wehner
