Hi, thank you for sharing Mike's experience with us. Hope everything goes well.
My nephew was diagnosed with PIL this spring when he was only 3 years old. After that, he is getting albumin infusions twice a week. Right now, he can manage a normal health condition. I would like to know how others deal with PIL. Welcome to talk with me! skype: lirakastanli

Our son Jared is 8 years old and was diagnosed with IL at 14 months of age. He is doing very well on a low fat diet (under 12 grams of fat per day) with supplements of Portagen formula and MCT oil. We are very supportive of any research that can be done. If your doctor is writing a paper and needs to contact us, we would be happy to talk to him. Your son Mike is such an inspiration. You must be very proud!

My son Russell is 6 now. He was diagnosed with IL at 10-12 months old. He is doing really well. We started out on Vivaglobin infusions when he was about 1 yr old and about 2 yrs ago we were switched to Hizentra. They are both forms of plasma given thru a subcutaneous pump once a week. This was set up by our Immunology Team Dr. Peter Mustillo at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus Ohio. We also see a GI Team and a Dietician on a regular basis. They are some GREAT doctors and we trust and think of them like family. Get in touch if you have any questions or want doc phone numbers. Thanks, Victoria Eues I can also be found on FaceBook.

My daughter was diagnosed with PIL at ten months of age. She is now 21 yrs old and a senior in college. Until recently she was able to keep symptoms (mostly edema) under control with low fat diet and MCT oil. Recently the edema has become very bad and it is fustrating as the diet has not changed. Please pray for wisdom for the physcians caring for my daughter. NOt certain that they have had much experience with primary intestinal lymphangectesia.

Hi! Just wanted to say that we think about the other families out there who are affected by IL as well. Our son, Gregory, is three now and fairly stable on weekly IgG infusions and lovenox (heparin) shots. He has a lot of tummy pain, though. Hope you had a good appointment and were able to get some ideas for treatments. We're all waiting and hoping that the procedure in CA will be a possibility someday. Hang in there, Mike (and family)!

Hey, just wanted to stop by and say hi to say that I read your last journal entry and I definitely know how Mike feels about going in every other weekend. I wanted to say that I am doing subcutaneous Gammo globulin infusions twice a week to treat my IL and it has brought my albumin level from 1.0 to about 1.7 and it is pretty steady now. Maybe it could help Mike, the results are far more long term, so there is no crash when the levels drop back down.

I also wanted to say that if you go to www.lrf.org they have a patient registry now and I got the opportunity to register and I was thinking it could be helpful if you wanted to register Mike on there too. They are doing amazing things.

Sincerely, Darla

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Hi, My baby daughter was born in July 08 with IL and severely low albumin levels. She was in hospital for 5 months and we have just recently brought her home, she is doing ok, she has her good days and bad, she is off tpn which is great but I am so worried for her future. We nearly lost her so many times in hospital before we where eventually diagnosed with IL. She is such a little fighter and I am delighted that there are support sites out there. I have only just came across this website today and I am thrilled that we are not alone! I will keep in touch and check the site every few days to check mike's progress. I really hope he does well and he is in my thoughts and prayers as is everyone with IL.

Hi Mike, my name is Dawn and I too was born with Intestinal lymphanjiectasia and an added bonus Lymphedemia of the left arm and hand...My entire left arm is noticebly swollen and has been that way all my life...My hand looks like I was stung by a bee, an can you imagine the ridicule I went through as a child...teased was not the word...I was a freak to all the kids...Not only could I not eat certain foods I also had a big fat hand...Or as the children called me (fat hand freddy)..I almost died at the age of 15 months old because 33 years ago In New York where I was born this disease was even more rare than now...The doctors were beside themselves and had no idea what they were looking at. After a lot of researching they decided to tell my parents that I had cysticfibrosis and that I would not make it to the ages of 3, then 5, then 8. One Dr. and only ONE Dr. was able to research further and found IL. I was diagnosed at 15 months old and from there it just got harder and harder to live a normal life. I was a child who was ridiculed, because kids and their parents did not understand this disease and how serious it is. I was and still am on a STRICK low fat to no fat diet and even that is challenging. As a child it was tough especially when I would go to a birthday party, and my mother would have to give strick instructions to the childs mother on what I couldnt eat and that meant no birthday cake, potato chips, cheese doodles, all I ate was pretzals and it is still my favorite snack to eat. I was told back in the dark ages, that there was no surgeries for this disease and it was incurable. Just last year at the age of 32 I found a specialist in Pennsylvania where I live now, a man whose name is Dr. Metz and he is out of the Hospital of Philidelphia..He is a very cut and dry man with all the facts. That is where I heard that there was a surgery for this disease but that it is risky. This disease baffles me because it is so hard to find in the intesine. I had a endoscopy done and where he biopsied the IL was NOT present. I am afraid to have any operation. I saw him because in May it will be 3 years since I had my first and only child Madison Shea! My naturopathic Dr. told me that my symptoms from IL would dissappear when I became pregnant and amazingly they DID! Not one symptom of IL...It was the best 9mths of my ENTIRE life. I was able to eat fat of all kinds and nothing happened to me. That is until I gave birth, and the IL reverted back to when I was 15 months old and barely surviving. The pregnancy made the IL worse and I have yet to recover. For 3 years I have suffered severely to where I couldnt take care of my own newborn baby because I was lethargic, weak and zero protein in my body. I was told protein Ivs would be useless so I am actually curious about the ones you recieve. I was also told because I have IL that my offspring have a 50% chance of getting this. Were you told it was hereditary? I was told that at 15 months old and again at 32 years old...Because it is hereditary if I have a boy ...he would automatically get this. Needless to say my daughter is perfectly healthy, so we have chosen not to have any more children. I dont think my body could handle it anyway. It is going to be a long tough road Mike, people just dont know enough about this disease and so ignorance sets in....We are judged, and not taken seriously. People think we have ordinary stomach aches..They have no idea that when we are losing protein, we are losing every nutrient in our body with it. We lose weight, constantly have a bloated stomach and feel horrible. I will keep in touch with you if I hear anything about cures, please do the same. I hope life only gets a little easier for you. I understand and respect your strength. We are different, God has made it that way, we are Unique and we are survivors. Never feel ashamed or embarressed about who you are.

Hi Ken, Teri, Joe, Brian, Steve and Mike Taylor; my name is Randy Garner... My wife & I just found out our 40 day old only child (our son) Dylan has IL; and evidently it is (according to our doctors) one of the most sever cases they are aware of.

I am cutting and pasting my update I sent out to my office 3 days ago below. I plan on being in touch with you in the near future. Right now we are just trying to get through the next few weeks. Here is the beginning of our story...

We found out today that Dylan has a rare disorder; the disorder is Intestinal Lymphangestacia (I.L.); this disorder has several complications that we are more than happy to take on if it means we can take our baby home with us. The symptoms; while they could have been caused by many things; were comfirmed with a scope of his intestinal track. What is happening is Dylan is losing everything he takes in; and in Dylan's case it is; what we've been told; the most severe case the doctor's have seen. He is not just losing some of the Proteins and nutrients; evidently he is losing them ALL.

To complicate matters; Dylan also has a Blood Infection; of course in his state he has difficulty in fighting off this infection. The doctors are working on helping him fight this off as much as they can without overwhelming his little body. Once we get this taken care of; we can begin working on the fluid that has gathered in & around his lungs; then we can begin finding a level of IV Nutrients that will keep Dylan healthy enough to sustain himself. This is going possibly be a lifelong process. Once Dylan is healthy enough to take home; Becky & I will be learning what the process is for administering a daily IV through what is called a "Pick-Line".

As I mentioned in the opening of this posting; we are ready, willing, & able to do this and in fact look forward to the day they tell us; okay... here's what you're going to need to do... now you're on your own.

Some of you may think oddly of my for taking the time to type out details and document the events we are living through; but please understand; I LOVE MY SON; this is in fact something that helps me cope with my thoughts and feelings; and I want nothing more than to introduce our son DYLAN to my friends and family who have not yet had the pleasure of seeing his "smiling eyes".

We are going to get through this; Dylan is going to be even more of a miracle baby than he already is. I believe; based on what I've been told; that this condition will probably extend MY life; because I'll need to change my eating habits (healthy - low to no fat content foods) in order to ensure that my son has the right diet in the house & a good example as he grows stronger in the years to come. If everything happens for a reason; I now have to believe that this is the reason this has happened to our family.

Dylan will be sedated for the nex 48 hours or so; after which I will post more pictures of those "smiling eyes"

Our hospital has given us the ability to create a CarePage for Dylan it can be found under the "Patient Web Sites" at texaschildrenshospital.org - the CarePage Name is: dylanjessegarner

Teri,

I wish I would have found your site a long time ago. My mother in law (MIL) has NHL and has had it for 15 years. She has been to stage 4 a cuple of times and just Tuesday of last week was taken off her chemo (3rd year long round) 6 months early (for the at least 2nd time, I did not know her the first time). She was told she five to six years and is on year 15 (maybe 16). She has been on a combo of Lucaran (SP) and Steroids twice a month for 3 days twice a month. Although the steroids drive her crazy (lack of sleep) she has responded well and is doing great. There is success in this evil illness. Glad to hear you are doing GREAT!

Hi Teri and Mike,

I met you and Mike for the second time this year when my kids and I were working the radioathon. Last year and this year, we were fortunate enough to be working when they interviewed you and Mike. Your story has certainly touched our hearts. This is our 5th year doing the radioathon. My kids and I plan on doing it every year. We will keep you and Mike in our thoughts and prayers.

Hi Teri, I was so excited when they told me you were out at Children's today as I was goming in. I had to run to the room with Sammy to drop off a bunch of stuff and my plan was to come right back out to see you. When I got to the room I was told by my husband that he needed to go do something right then and needed me to stay with karagin so by the time I got a minute to get out to see you I had just missed you. I was so dissapointed because with Karagin's relaps and all that is going on with that and then going back in house on Friday I was not able to get by to see you. I have been keeping tabs on you through Tracy and Teresa. I will be praying that this RICE chemo will do the job, or better yet that God wil do it in spite of the chemo. He is able to do exceedingly above all that we could ask or think. Only believe. I'm holding your family up in prayer as well as you go through this.

Keep us all updated as your next step (Rice Chemo) is started next week. We are all here for you.

Teri,
I spoke with your hubby a few nights ago and he said you were hopefully coming home soon, but I see that did not happen. I wanted you to know all of us "Hospital Moms" are surrounding you with love and prayers. Look at the picture Kris posted of all of us in Dec. Now realize we may be a small group, but put all our prayers together and that is one big powerful message.
We all love you and pray you are healed quickly. Keep strong!!
God bless,

Hi everyone: Teri is still in the hospital and can feel all your prayers! Keep praying. She is strong and in good spirits, but is not seeing visitors right now and we have the phone unhooked so she can get her rest. Keep emailing her at Taylor.Theresa@comcast.net or leave messages here and we will let her know what you are saying. Thanks for all your prayers. We are so proud of Teri.... She is definitely "Iron Mom". peggy, her sister.

Morning" IRON Mom" Teri,

Stopping by to tell you I'm thinking of you and keeping you in my every prayer

I talked with one of your sister's and she said you are doing ok............

I know how hard Saturday was for you........I know how hard the "first time" we as Mom's
don't get to go with our son for there medical stuff is always tuffiest on the Mom......

I have this joyous feeling that Mike and Brian had a great and Blessed day
and I had a real since of peace that God was watching over ALL of you and holding you in
HIS loving arms........

My prayer for you TODAY is you wake feeling good and that the next treatment goes better as
you Fight Hard and WIN.

I know WE will have a time in the very near future to Celebrate "Our Victory" over this.

I know Our strength in The LORD will Grow and His Glory and Honor Will Shine.....

Hi Terri, Sorry I haven't e-mailed in a while, I have been really busy. I just started a few new treatments and I am trying to figure everything out. I just got diagnosed with Osteopenia in my spine, the doctor says that I am rapidly developing Osteoporosis in my spine and so he is about to start me on Fosomax in order to prevent it from getting worse. The doctors also just started me on IVIG in a subcutaneous form, that way I don't have to spend the day at the hospital anymore. I am receiving 9 grams of Gammo every week now in order to keep my levels higher for longer and in order to avoid the crash I normally have. I hope it works.

My Dad is home for good now, so anytime you have some time and would be ok with my family driving to see you guys would be great, just let me know. I hope everything is going great for Mike and I hope you are all doing well. Hope to hear from you soon.

God is in total control, and you sound GREAT! I will be praying for your strength to come back, and you beat this beast.

I'm so blessed to read you are surrounded by so many loving people who care for you. Sure wish I lived closer, I would love to take care of you and Kris!

Hi Teri & Mike
Thank You so much for checking in on Scotty recently, we really appreciate it. Sorry it has been so long since I've been here ...with the FDA approval of Scotty's drug we have been busy with the infusions. Hopefully we are into a routine now and I can get back to checking up on our Caringbridge family. Sounds like Mike is doing good. He really sounds like a great little guy. I'll be back soon.

Hey Teri and Mike,
I wanted to ask if it would be possible for me to help out with your next fundraiser. I would love to help in any way I can and I was hoping that the next fundraiser you have, if my family could help. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Iron Mike!
Thank you for allowing me to share your story with your CCD classmates. You are an inspiration to all of us. We look forward for a cure. Thank you, too, for spreading the devotion to Our Lady's Holy Rosary, in your own little way. She really likes that, I'm 100% sure. I have placed your name in the basket in front of the Blessed Sacrament Altar. You're one of the many people we pray for every Thursday after the 5:30 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. You're welcome to come and pray with us. Thanks, again, Mike and thank you to your loving Family. You're all a Great example to us of what a Family should be. God bless you! --Mrs. Jean Floro

I found Mike's story on Karl Dewazien's website (I'm a staff member of his). I am sitting here totally crying my eyes out. It's so sad that such an innocent child has to go through this. At the same time, just reading his story, I am absolutely amazed at his bravery and positive attitude. I hope Mike can someday understand how he has touched so many people's lives around the world. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for himself, he is making a difference. You can't help but stop and think about how you live your own life after hearing his story. He makes you realize that we get caught up in the little things that really aren't important when we should be focusing our efforts on things that are important. His parents must be extremely proud!

I came upon your sight while searching for info on the lymph system. I see Dr. Richard Aplin a Wellness Chiroprator. In the past I have always seen traditional type dr's. He has helped many people overcome some life threatening illnesses. I know some of the people he has helped and I talked with them before visiting him. He has helped me so much. You may have all the dr's you want. I just thought you would probably try most anything. He studys all the time and is involved with dr's all over the place. He has scheduled conference calls with them and consistently has some of the most interesting information I've encountered.
Just a shot of info. Hope it helps in some way.

Hi all, Just stopping in from ali, & danny's site to quickly say hi!!! BEST wishes and many prayers will be sent your way now that your need is known. You are amazing and your parents are soooooo smart to keep searching for your cure. The answer will be found when God wills it, HE IS GREAT!!!! We will soon be the PROUD grandparents to a little girl (Madison Leighann)who would not be here if it weren't for the prayers of sooooooo many influencing His Will 7 years ago!!!!!!! Back in 1999 my now 24 year old daughter Keri Ann was diagnosed with AML at age 17 and given a 10% probability of living for the next 2 weeks if she could make it through induction chemo. She was told to forget about ever playing soccer again or of graduating as part of the class of 2000. Now ater under the bridge she graduated from HS in 2ooo, played college soccer (on scholarship), graduated, got married, has been teaching HS special Education in FL for 2 years, recieved new teacher of the year in 2005 for her entire county, bought her first fixer upper home and is now fixing it up with her husband (and many of their students), so they will have a place to tuck their daughter into at night come this October!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW what a GOD we have watching over us all!!!!!!!!!! I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts that God's wiil includes a cure for you someday!!!!!!!! LOVE, once Mommateri6, now Mommateri10

Jelly beans & Jesus

Have you heard the story of the jelly beans?

Little jelly beans
Tell a story true.
A tale of our Father's love
That's just for me and you.

GREEN is for the new spring grass.
YELLOW is for the sun above.
BROWN is for the soft earth where
People sat hearing of HIS love.

PURPLE'S for the robe he wore
RED is for that precious wine.
BLACK is for the sins He washed
From your soul and mine.

BLUE'S for the sadness of
HIS friends and family,
and is for the glory of the Day
HE rose for you and me.

Now that you've heard the story
You know what each color means.
The story of our Father's love
As told by jelly beans.
So when you see jelly beans on this Easter season,
stop and remember,
Jesus is the reason!

"For God so loved the world, He gave His One and Only Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16

Wishing you and yours Easter Blessing's

Hey Mike,
I hope your tune up goes well today. It was great fun to coach you today. I really love basketball and basketball is the most fun when you win. I was wishing we could have gotten a win for you for our last game. Now though, after learning more about your story, I realize that winning is really not a big thing.

I mentioned today that I think you are meek. I hope you understand what a high compliment that is in my mind. Meekness is the quality of a person who has their emotions under control. It is the quality of the person that Jesus said would inherit the earth in Matthew 5. It is gentleness and humility. It is passion under control. I picked that word to describe you because you have always greeted practices and games and your teammates with gentleness. I only learned today that you have plenty in your life that would cause some to be angry or frustrated, but you do not show this. You continue with life as though you enjoy it and are grateful for it. I see now that I have much to learn from you. The Rubles will pray for you and for God to preserve your body and, more importantly, your spirit.

Thanks for the season and I will check back at your site for updates. I will also buy a Kid's Day paper this week with you in mind. Thanks,

Dear Iron Mike and family,
It is great to hear that you are doing so well. This is Sara Fike from Costco. We are getting ready for our big fundraising month coming up real soon. I am not sure on the exact amount that all three local Costco want to shoot for this year but I know that it will be big. To top that off coporate likes to match it. Children's Hospital is so dear to so many for so many different reasons. For me Mike is such an inspiration. Thank you for that. Great job with volleyball. I thought that I saw you at the beginning of the school year at the carnival for Garfield. Or maybe your look-a-like. You are in my prayers. Many warm blessings to you and your family.

Hello to the Taylor family,
My name is Alexandra Andreotti and I am a Junior at Buchanan High School. I have heard of Mike's situation through school and OLPH church. One of my best friends attends Children's hospitalas well, for she is being treated for Leukemia. I spoke at church last night and Mrs. Taylor told me more about Mike. How honored I was to meet such a wonderful woman who has gone through so much and always wants to help others. I want you all to know I am praying for Mike and his well-being. I hope everything is going well and that Mike is having fun at school. (I attended Garfield as well and 6th grade was my favorite year. I hope it is for you too!) Good luck and Mike is in my prayers.

leading the way for the rest of us.( Our youngest son Danny has done the same as you with all the his older brothers! )
It's wonderful seeing how God is working through you for
so many others! Thanks for being a shinning example for all.
I wish you all the happiness this day can hold. You're courage shines on through all you do.
Have a great soccer season and school year!

Hey Mike, its the Shumans' from Oklahoma! Just checking in on you and what great news about your numbers! We'll keep praying that those hospital visits just get fewer and fewer. I'm sorry I missed your interview on the Morning Show last week; hope it went well. Tell your mom to give me a call next time you're on TV so I can be sure and watch!!
Has school started for you yet? My son Brett who is your brother Brian's age, starts classes here on Monday, the 22nd.
I hope you've had a great summer and good luck in school this year. 6th grade, right? How fun for you!
You take care and we send our love to you and your family. You are always in our prayers and I know that God has wonderful plans for you.
Hang in there and know you are loved!

Hey Mike! I just happened to see your site through Ali's, and the "Iron" Mike name jumped right out at me. I like to keep this on the Q.T., but I grew up a wrasslin' fan, so I know that if you're tough enough to be dubbed "Iron Mike", then you are one super-tough dude!

Iron Mike & Family,
How wonderful to find your CB site through Parkers.
I have often wondered how your doing and now I can
"hope" on line and find out. We don't know one
another but we know all about you through Children's hospital because you are on the opposite page from
my son Danny in the Children's Hospital "Once Upon a Time Book" Mike is on page 17 & my son Danny is on
page 18,
he too has a rare disease that he will be followed
the rest of his life for. We know longer get to go to Children's because Danny is grown up now, he was treated there up until he was 20. He is now 21. Mike your much younger, but already show all of us how awesome the human sprit can be. Your inspirational story is a gift to share with the world and Im grateful and Blessed
to know your story. May God continue to Bless you
with courage and strength.

Hi Mike My name is Dee your dad and mum emailed me through little leakers. You sound so very brave and my heart goes out to you. I have primary so its not so suvere as you. At one stage there was talk of me having albumin infusion but luckly its come back up to nearly normal levels by just ajusting my diet to no fat. I have only been diagnosed for three months and I do fine it very hard. I am 27 with a four year old son. ( of couse he needs fat in his diet) In january i was admitted to hospital looking 9 months pregnant with adema right down to my toes. I have had six consultants puzzled as to what was causing the problem and now we seem to have hit the nail on the head ( so to speak ). If i can help you and your family in any way please let me know
Love and best wishes

Hello,
I read your article, and I've been frustrated because almost a year a ago I was diagnosed with Intestinal Lympangiectasia, and my gastro doctor just repeated the upper endoscopy test. He doesn't think its a big deal I have been sufferring with bad adominal pain, and they have ruled out everything else, except I have bad acid reflux. I am 31 years of age. This doctor shows no compassion, he doesn't know really anything much about this. I don't know what kind of doctor I should be seeing, I keep running into dead ends about this, nobody knows about this. What I am asking is maybe you can direct me in the right direction and tell me what kind of symptoms do you have with this. My doctor has been telling me its in my head. I will keep your family in my prayers. I hope to hear from you and your family with maybe more answers then what I have myself. Thank you, and God Bless. Lisa

Hi Mike & Mom,
I met you last night at Longs Drug Store. I must say the light in your eyes made me take notice, that, and your bandaged arm from you bike accident. I felt the energy around you and your inner glow. I know this sounds funny, but I actually felt the energy around you and it is strong, warm, good and magnetic. I also felt the love and pride your Mom has for you and saw it in her eyes. It was a pleasure speaking to you both and I would have stayed longer if I had seen your web site before our meeting. You and your family will now be included in my prayers. I wish you a long full life and a cure for your illness. I am passing your info along as requested.

Hey there Guys! Let me first say that you are all an inspiration and we miss you like crazy! As I sat and looked at this web page, seeing all of the struggles that each of you face everyday, expecially you Mike, but that you overcome these with grace, strength, and hope, this left me with a feeling of "wow". Wow, that God is so wonderful and amazing that in the midst of all this, you continue to touch so many lives and continue moving forward when it would be easier to give up. Keep that attitude of yours that is contagious and that strength that will carry you through anything! You are an Ironkid... and I'm not supprised, because you come from an Ironfamily! Prayers and hugs, from out in Oklahoma, even though I still claim I'm from Colorado!

Hi Mike,

It was neat to see you on the stage last night at the KISS Country concert"Bandit Bash" at Children's Hospital. You did a great job introducing the singer in front of all those people (your mom did a great job too). We really liked seeing the video "story" of your life. It was sure special for you to be the "Celebrity kid" this year. We're glad we got to see you and your mom in person too.

Guess what? Alex saw 3 shooting stars while we listened to the concert.

Have a great year in school

Hi Guys,

I have emailed you separately - but just to let you know there are a few of us out there. We live in Sydney, Australia - there are four of us in Australia who have been diagnosed - our son Brady is 16 months. We are in contact with Elsa in Italy her son Andres has lymphangiectasia. Coni in Luxembourg - her son Sebastian is 8 and has recently been diagnosed. And my dear friend Alecia who lives in Simi Valley - her son Dylan is 6 and is treated at UCLA. Alecia has been a wonderful friend and a great inspiration. Alecia has even more contacts (Elsa is also in touch with the 8 cases in Italy) . It's great if we can all get together and compare notes on all the treatments (which believe may vary quite widely) Keep up the good work

When my daughter Tarah was 3 months old, she had many of the symptoms you described. Her albumin level was very low, she was swollen, had diarrhea, poor fluid maintenance, her kidneys and liver stopped working. We took her to UCLA to a wonderful pediatric gatroenteroligist: Dr. Berquist. She was eventually diagnosed with idiopathic, non-specific diarahea with protien-losing enteropathy. It was a long road, but she fully recovered, thank God. I loved the care she got at UCLA. I hope and pray for the best for all of you.

Hi Taylor family, I have known Ken and Teri since before they were married and had all the wonderful boys. Both Ken and Teri worked for Coca-Cola with me. The last time I saw them, they were still living in Colorado and Teri took me to the soccer facility where the boys played. It was a very pleasant day and Mike was very lovable acting like he had known me forever. He was about four years old and I had not seen him for a couple of years. I will pass this website on to my friends and hopefully, we can find someone who will be able to help Mike get better. Teri, next time I am in Central California, I will let you know so I can visit with you.

I'm a friend of Mike's aunt Katie. I'm praying for Mike, the Taylor family, and the doctors who care for Mike. I will do what I can to spread the word about IL and direct those who can help to this site.

I am one of Mike's aunts. He is a wonderful boy! If anyone has heard of IL or knows of anyone who might have some knowledge that could help the Taylors, I'm sure they would appreciate it. Thanks.
