Hadley,
I know you are now playing and dancing with Morgan Faith. May you guys help her family. Show Morgan how to bless her parents like you do with Lady bugs. Thank you for being a good friend. I miss you even more today, but I am so thankful for how you lived. May we all live and love the way you both did.
Missing you,

Hi...I love what you are doing in honor of her birthday. I haven't been on Carly's site in so long because her tumors are stable. I think of you all often as we were going through treatment with the girls and think back to that time frame in our lives. Today I am sitting next to my oldest son (20 yrs old) while he is getting chemotherapy for his stage 4 non-hodkins lymphoma...apparently God thinks we do this really well..seriously a second child of mine going thru treatment. Treatment with a 20 year old is alot different than a 3 year old..with Carly it was in a room full of kids playing, eating snacks, watching cartoons. With Kyle we are in a room of adults reading the paper and drinking coffee...again I love what you are doing.

Thinking a lot about Hadley this month. What a legacy of HOPE she left. May we fulfill some of her dreams and desires by bringing HOPE to all we have contact with daily.
Praying for all of you. Love you guys.

I love that you continue to update Princess Hadley's site. I think of her and you guys so much and always thank the Lord for you!!!! The other day I stopped in the restroom at Perkins. The paper towels automatically continued to roll out. I thought of Hadley and how she felt obligated to keep using them when they kept coming!!! Love You guys and praise the Lord for His goodness and healing in your lives!!!

Psalms 40:1-4 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Angela As we approach Mother's Day I am keeping you close in prayer. This poem has comforted me and I pray that it may help you also.

You can shed tears that she is gone,
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes & pray that she'll come back,
Or you can open your eyes & see all that she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow & live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
Or you can cherish her memory & let it live on.
You can cry & close your mind, be empty & turn your back,
Or you can do what she'd want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Angela,

I have been thinking of Hadley and her family. Thanks for updating. Glad to hear about the grief group. Sarah's older sister and brother went to one too and are still involved. It was good for all of us. It was hard enough to deal with my own grief and still have energy left to help them through theirs. The program was just what we needed. They have left it for awhile and then gone back as they mature. Keith is now a volunteer with the younger kids during their groups. Not glad to hear about your health problems. I had some the first couple years too that really didn't seem to make sense. Though, mine weren't as serious as yours. I still feel funky physically and really can't explain it. My own unprofessional opinion is that having a child die ages you by at least 10 years, me it felt like 20. I think I just have old age stuff going on. I seem to relate a little better to older people too. Probably because they are old enough to have had a close loved one die. Anyway, I can't remember what reminded me of Hadley but it was while I was driving the school bus, so I came home to see her picture and how everyone is doing. I hope you feel better or figure out what is going on soon.
With love,

Thanks for the update. So much going on there! Hope you can figure out what's going on with your body, Angela and can get the treatment you need!
Whether we can see it or not, the Lord is always working! Always praying!
Romans 8:27-28 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Oh what comfort these words give! Praying!
Job 19:25-27:For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

God's Lent Child
I'll lend you for a little while a child of mine, God said,
For you to love her while she lives, and mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years, or forty-two or three;
But will you, till I call her back, take good care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief,
You'll have the lovely memories as a solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return;
But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.
I've searched the whole world over, for teachers kind and true;
And from the throngs that crowd life's lane I have chosen you...
Now will you give her all your love? Nor think the labor pain?
Nor hate me should the angels call, to take this child back again?
To which the parents did reply...
Dear Lord, Thy will be done.
For all the joys thy child will bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness,
We'll love her while we may...
for all the love this child will bring,
forever grateful we will stay.
But should the Angels call for her,
much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and try to understand.

The sky is filled with Angels
With puffy lacy wings
The remnants of God's beauty
With treasures they now bring

Each one of them a Guardian
That travels in the sky
To watch throughout eternity
Their parents from on high

Smiles that come from Angels
They fall like crystal rain
Eases earthly burdens
Lifting all life's pain

Halos so astounding
That glitter gold each day
Following their loved ones
In such a perfect way

Wings in gentle breezes
That fall from up above
Kissing every parent
With everlasting love

Angels soar through heaven
With everlasting light
Looking down from heaven
Saying their "goodnights"

Kissing all who loved them
So gently on the face
This life's tender mercy
Each parent can embrace

Wings and shiny halos
Travel from on high
Surrounding all their loved ones
They never say good-bye.

Revelation 21:1-4 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Good Morning ^^Princess Hadley^^ I am thinking about you this morning and remembering your precious smile and missing you. I am praying for your wonderful family today and wanted to come by to wish them all a Happy Thanksgiving. I found this special prayer and wanted to share it with all of you. Hugs to a very special Angel

Dear Father who art in Heaven...
Please join our family on this Thanksgiving day
And bless each one as we sit down to pray
As we remember those who have joined You above
So dearly missed and deeply loved.

Please provide us strength on this Thanksgiving day
Bless us with memories of those faraway...
Please grant patience to family and friends as we grieve
And help us reach out to others who are bereaved.

We give thanks to You on this Thanksgiving day....
For Your presence in our lives each and everyday.
For Your comfort, guidance, and never ending love...
And for taking care of our loved ones...in Heaven above.

As we light this candle on this Thanksgiving day...
And it glows in memory of those in Heaven today....
May their lights always shine down on us and give us light...
And may we feel their presence along with Yours tonight.

May the peace and tranquility of this Thanksgiving day
Be an everlasting light within each of us along the way...
Lets bow our heads and give our Thanks to God above..
For our blessings, whether on earth or in Heaven above...
Amen

II Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Titus 3:4-6 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 12:1-4 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Dear Family,
We had a prayer request on our ministry website (www.passionsong.org) for Hadley, and I hadn't recieived an update that she had gone to her heavenly home.
I am sorry that you must face this separation, but please know that because of Jesus we have the blessed hope, and were can be assured that we will be together again. I have so many loved ones who have gone home, and with each passing, Heaven becomes more dear to me. Now, I place my time and energy into serving the Lord with all the strength I have, so that I might bring just one more person to the knowledge that they, too, may come to forgiveness through Christ, and then have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life where Hadley's name is written.
I will place a prayer request for your family's strength, for a renewed vision on earth, and for supernatural joy, until you are all together with your dear loved one. Remember, it is not "Good-Bye," but rather, just "So-long" which means it will only be so-long till you see her again. (Neh 8:10)
God Bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you.

Romans 8:26-28 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. I followed Hadley's courageous journey for many years via the Caringbridge website. I'm one of those people alerted by Michelle Meyer of Walla Walla that others were carrying heavy loads at the time her own husband was waging his own battle with brain cancer. Time does move on, but this morning (after a long absence) I "checked in." Thank you very much for the update on the Fox Family; you have all been an inspiration and are woven into my "fabric of life." I am the person who sent Hadley heart-shaped cookies and I think of her each time I make them (which will be again soon for a Hospice event). My best to you all as you continue down the path of love for Hadley.

My daughter and Hadley nearly shared the same birthday. Jazmyn was born July 28, 2000. She was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at 22 months old. When I came home, I researched the Hadley and the Fox family. Brandon and Angela - Words can not comfort your loss, but I can assure you that your sons will have a fantastic time at Camp. Thank you for sharing your daughter's story

Know that I'm continuing to pray here in Seattle!

His oath, His covenant, and blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Hello Fox Family,
I read your beautiful daughter's story after finding you on Facebook on the Pediatric Brain Tumor Board. I hope you are all doing well, we completely understand what you are going thru. I'm so incredibly sorry you lost your precious little girl. I read all the stories about the families whose children had brain tumors. Your story jumped out at me because Hadley earned her wings one day after our son Joseph. I completely understand what you mean when you say empty. I wonder if I will EVER feel better. There is such a big hole in my heart, my home and my life.

Our son Joseph had a brain tumor as well. He was just 6 years old when he was diagnosed in January 2008 after an 11 month amazingly brave fight Joseph earned his angel wings in the early morning hours of December 11, 2008. It was a Thursday. Joseph fought so hard with a smile on his face and a joke to tell. We are supposed to teach our children, it's amazing how much they can teach us isn't it?

I wanted to share this poem with you, it helps keep me going, I hope it helps you...God Bless! Take care. (((HUGS)))

And if I go, while your're still here...
know that I live on,
vibrating to a different measure
behind a thin veil you cannot see through.

You will not see me,
so you must have faith.

I wait for the time when
we can soar together again,
both aware of each other.

Until then, live your life to its fullest
and when you need me,
just whisper my name in your heart,
...I will be there.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever-living Head.

2. He lives triumphant from the grave,
He lives eternally to save,
He lives all-glorious in the sky,
He lives exalted there on high.

3. He lives to bless me with His love,
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed,
He lives to help in time of need.

4. He lives to grant me rich supply,
He lives to guide me with His eye,
He lives to comfort me when faint,
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.

5. He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart.

6. He lives, my kind, wise, heavenly Friend,
He lives and loves me to the end;
He lives, and while He lives, I'll sing;
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.

7. He lives and grants me daily breath;
He lives, and I shall conquer death:
He lives my mansion to prepare;
He Iives to bring me safely there.

8. He lives, all glory to His name!
He lives, my Jesus, still the same.

Oh Angela...I am so sorry for your pain. I wish I could make it better or ease it in some way. When I was in nursing school and doing my peds rotation I was working in the heme onc department. I had already planned on peds. oncology after I graduated and was excited with my placement...anyway, after a particularily rough shift, I asked my mom when it stopped hurting her...my brother died (ALL) April 12, 1968...he was 7 years old...her answer surprised me a bit. She said...it never stops hurting but that place in my heart that is so broken gets smaller and smaller every day and thus the hurt gets a little smaller each day as well. She then send...I loved him infinitely...how could I ever imagine losing him would not hurt. It is because I choose to live inspite of the pain that makes all the difference.

Angela, you remind me a lot of my mom. You are CHOOSING to move forward with your pain, walking side by side with it and never pretending that it is not there. In doing so you honor the infinite love you have for your girl. I think you are doing remarkably well. You are eloquent and spirited and an example for all of us.

You are prayed for each and every day!

My husband quoted the first verse of this hymn in his sermon tonight. It's so very comforting! Praying!

1. I fall asleep in Jesus' wounds,
There pardon for my sins abounds;
Yea, Jesus' blood and righteousness
My jewels are, my glorious dress.
In these before my God I'll stand
When I shall reach the heavenly land.

2. With peace and joy I now depart;
God's child I am with all my heart.
I thank thee, Death, thou leadest me
To that true life where I would be.
So cleansed by Christ, I fear not death.
Lord Jesus, strengthen Thou my faith

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Always here praying!
Psalms 18:2-6 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Psalms 34:4-7 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

If instead of a gem, or even a flower,

we should cast the gift of a loving
thought into the heart of a friend;

that would be giving as the angels give.

I always come back to these verses. It never ceases to amaze me that the Holy Ghost Himself prays for us! He's praying for you! There's no greater comfort than that!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Psalms 18:28-33 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? What elegant words you write, how strong you are to have written these elegant words. The pain must be etched so deeply in your being. I read these words last week and just didn't have words to respond, to comfort, to suggest my sympathy so I didn't write. I came back to visit this site and drew me here for so long only to view these words again. This time I just wanted you to know how proud Hadley would have been with her dear dear family. You, Brandon, the boys and your circle of family and friends made it so comfortable and loving to leave the world even though I am sure she would have prefered to stay. Thank you for sharing the most painful days of your life with some of us strangers. You are one of a kind Mama Fox.

Dear Angela,

I just came across you site and would like to express my sympathies on the recent death of your precious daughter. I am also a parent of a wonderful girl, Sandra, who lost her life in July, 2007 from complications of neurofibromatosis. Her tumors degenerated into a malignant state and metastasized to her lungs. Every effort was made to control the cancer, but to no avail.

I understand and can feel everything that you are going through. If you would like to stay in touch, please read our site, www.caringbridge.org/visit/sandy or email me.

I know what this next year will be like and I wish you peace and some degree of acceptance of what you have gone through and what state you are now in. I hope that the year will be kind to you and your family.

To Honor You

To honor you, I get up everyday and take a breath.
And start another day without you in it.

To honor you, I laugh and love with those who knew your smile
And the way your eyes twinkled with mischief and secret knowledge.

To honor you, I take the time to appreciate everyone I love,
I know now there is no guarantee of days or hours spent in their presence.

To honor you, I listen to music you would have liked,
And sing at the top of my lungs, with the windows rolled down.

To honor you, I take chances, say what I feel, hold nothing back,
Risk making a fool of myself, dance every dance.

You were my light, my heart, my gift of love, from the very highest source.
So everyday, I vow to make a difference, share a smile, live, laugh and love.
Now I live for us both, so all I do, I do to honor you.

God Cares
By Mickey Rogers(c)

When I think of God's mercy
And I think of his Love.
Such a wonderful God
Looking down from above.

How He watches His children
While He sits on His thrown
Oh how He loves us
And cares for His own.

He cares for the weak.
He cares for the bold.
He cares for the young.
He cares for the old.

No laughter or smile does
He miss when you're glad.
No tear does he miss
When you're feeling so sad.

He knows what to do
And His timing is great.
He's never too busy
and He's never too late.

So, when you think He's not listening
Or you think He's not there,
Just remember He is watching
And He hears every prayer.

What an honest, beautiful account of the homegoing of your incredible child Hadley! I have been so touched today by what you and your family endured for her sake, and by the sacrifices you made to make her short life so wonderful in spite of the awfulness that surrounded each of you. I have prayed God's blessings on your family as you recover. I also pray that Hadley's life memories stay fresh with you, giving you a multitude of blessings in the years to come. I never met Hadley, but her story and your love for her have changed the way I view life. In the absolute depths of despair (and there have been some tough times for us lately), I think of Hadley and the joy she took in life and how much she fought to LIVE and I can do nothing less.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

The Lord is the only true source of strength! Turn to Him always! Praying!
2 Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

Angel of Mine
By: Anonymous

I felt an angel near today,
though one I couldn't see.
I felt an angel, oh-so-close,
sent to comfort me.

I felt an angel's gentle kiss,
soft upon my cheek.
And oh, without a single word,
of caring it did speak.

I felt an angel's loving touch,
soft upon my heart.
And with that touch, I felt the pain,
and hurt within depart.

I felt an angel's tepid tears,
fall softly next to mine.
And knew that as those tears did dry,
a new day would be mine.

I felt an angel's silken wings,
enfold me with pure love.
And felt a strength within me grow,
a strength sent from above.

I felt an angel, Oh-so-close,
though one I couldn't see,
I felt an angel near today,
sent to comfort me.

I am so thankful for the update. Your boys sound like they are adjusting. I'm glad that Keegan is doing well in school again, some help from the glasses to I imagine. Liam's tears breaks my heart - did you just hold him? What questions those two boys must have, and at different times too. They are incredible brothers who will not forget the love of their sister or how much they love their sister. Angela, you are great. I am sorry that Brandon is having to work so much right now, but I too am thankful it is now instead of earlier. Are you spending time with girlfriends or church family? Please know we are here praying and love your family greatly.

Angela,
This entry just broke my heart.....no mother should ever have to visit her precious little girl's grave. I commend you for having the strength to go by yourself.....and God knew that you needed a good cry. Seeing Hadley's name on the stone brought tears to my eyes. I have been following your journey for over four years now.....and I think think this is the first time that the reality of your precious daughter's death has hit me. I have learned so much from you, and continue to learn about how so much in life. I also want you to know that you have a world of people who you can lean on when you need to.....we are here to love and pray for you. Though we may not be able to give you a hug physically, we can in spirit.....and we can pray for your entire family, and love you. You are a wonderful mother, wife and person.

Angela,I wish I could be by you to give you a hug now and then. This past November was the first time I went home in 18 years to see a family member laid to rest. I have missed out on saying goodbye to so many due to being so far away or just not being able to arrange travel in time. Last year I started going to our local cemetary here to stop by my sister in laws father's plot to visit him since she lives out of town and cannot come often. I started going once a week to go and find some serenity. Cemetarys are good for peace adn quiet.LOL I don't know any of those people but I occasionally stop at the store and find some flowers to give someone there who looks like they've been forgotten. I too sit in the car and shed a few tears thinking about my loved ones who went on before I could say goodbye. You just take all the time you need I'm sure they really do understand. Hugs

Lamentations 3:22-26 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Angela, Brandon, and Family,
Please accept our condolences on the loss of beautiful Hadley. My wife and I have followed Hadley's journey from afar nearly since it began. We lost our daughter Molly to a brain tumor at the age of 10 weeks in October of 2003. I came across Hadley's story while researching the pediatric brain tumor resources.
Thank you for your post on 1-1-09. We all need to be reminded occasionally what is important in our lives. We certainly didn't choose to belong to this club of having our children as Angels watching over us. However, you will learn along the journey what a beautiful blessing it can be.
Take care,

Angela, you are such an inspiration to me. It is amazing how brave and strong you are. You always seem to see the best in everything, good or bad. I will continue to pray for your family, but something tells me you will all be fine.
God bless!

Dearest Angela,
My sister spent 3 days trying to get out of the Portland airport before Christmas; I'm so glad your travels were safe.

Hadley's resting place sounds so peaceful and full of the honor due your little warrior.

Ok, everything I'm trying to type keeps sounding stupid. I think of you guys so often, pray often, and I thank you for the words...to live without fear. Finding that a bit challenging these days, so thank you...

wishing you peace in this new year...

Dear Angela,

I found you (and Hadley) in a very round-about, accidental way while surfing from one link to another. I wanted you to know that although I do not know you, and you do not know me, that your story and struggle, but more importantly, your joy have had such an impact on me. I just wanted to let you know that you are an inspiration as a mother and a person. I have been praying for you and your family. I will continue to do so.
