Aidan's Page

Aidan received a liver transplant at age 4 months and has had lots of ups and downs since then. Right now, he has just turned nine and is doing better than he ever has before. Go Aidan!! If you look at the most recent journal entry, you will see the link to the site where I am now putting "regular Aidan news" and pictures.

Journal

Happy 11th birthday, Aidan! You are doing so well these days that I don't think it will be long until you can read your own updates. Maybe someday you will be able to write your own.

You love to look up things on YouTube (odd things that it's surprising anyone ever puts on there, like bagless vacuum cleaners, and the back doors of Nissan Quests, and schoolbus races, and the spider in Legend of Zelda -- OK, maybe that one's not so surprising then!).

You love to help around the house.

You love to be part of what's going on.

You love to laugh and joke. You like to steal your older brother's baseball cap and make up nicknames for your siblings, like "Kitty" and "Patriots" and "Beja-beja".

You haven't been on an overnight to the hospital for 3 years now and you haven't had a seizure for over two years.

We are thinking of going to the Liver Transplant Picnic this summer in San Francisco for the first time in several years. Finally you are as healthy as they always said a post-liver-transplant child could be.

Well, that is all for now!

More later,

Your Mom
