This is the story of us. It started as a medical page but actually turned into a page to update friends about what's going on in our life. Lenka is a happy wife (HA! Don't ask her she'll deny.) of mine. This page is for me to post updates about her, us, and now about our little neice, to just tell friends about what's going on, probably vent sometimes. I just need a place to store my thought at. See our photos in the Photoalbum and please sign our guestbook.
Caringbridge has been my source of encouragement for over a year. I met a lot of courageous adults and children (unfortunately mostly children) who fight lots of terrible monsters - cancer, heart diseases, blindness, etc, etc, etc. I know it's kinda weird but I call them "my children" :-). Here are the webpages of "my children" on Caringbridge. Some of them are still with us, some are fighting, some have already won their fight and went to Heaven. Please take a moment to visit one or several of them and offer your support just like you support us. Thank You!!

Thursday, May 10, 2007 5:30 AM Siberian Time NEW PHOTOS!!!
Yo! BOO! TADAM! It's me.
Well, first things first. We have that insulin problem solved for a while. I called the company who produces the insulin Lenka uses. And guess what! The company not only helped but gave her BETTER insulin for FREE!!! The guy I talked to told me to call back ANY time if we have ANY problems with insulin!!! I can't believe it!!! A Danish company (btw THANK YOU NOVO NORDISK!!!) cares more about Lenka than her own country! Dang! That's even funny! So anyway, the insulin problem solved. For a while at least. Thank you very much for your prayers and thoughts AND kicking walls for us! We felt them all and heard some wall kicking, too. Keep it up.
More news. I went to a place called Zhireken. Yeah, yet another unpronouncable Russian town. There's a FeMo plant there. For those of you who skipped Chemistry class, FeMo stands for ferromolibdenum. It's a small town in Eastern Siberia. Only 4000 people. What a HOLE!!! Goodness. No cinema, no bars, no cafes, NOTHING! I spent a month there (was hired by the company who operates the mine there) and thought I'd die from boredom. I made some nice pictures though and even two videos of blasts in the mine. WOW! Nice. If anyone knows how to make them "publically available", let me know. They are HUGE files - about 90 megs.
Even more news. We finally have high-speed internet connection! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! I'm downloading EVERYthing! Past Top Gear shows, Eddie Izzard shows, movies. YAHOO!!! I love it!!!
And yet more news. We have a new front page pictures. We've finally given up resistance to IKEA nesting instinct and bought a bed from them. And I tell you what. IT SUCKS!!! The edge and corners are too sharp. Don't buy IKEA. It is exactly what you pay for it - CHEAP!!!
And the long expected "This day in history" :-). YEAH! I know you love those:
So this day May 10:
1889 - Walter Haas born. You wonder who that is. Check out the nearest store. LEVI'S!!! He took over the company in 1914 when he married the daughter of one of the four nephews of Levi Strauss. Long story short - he made the company what it is today.
1904 - Salvador Dali, Lenka's favorite artist, born. He was NUTS!!! I mean completely NUTS!!!
1932 - oooooh sigh oh woman! Mario Valentino, Italian fashion designer, born.
1857 - Francois Vidoc, founder of French security, died. YEAH! France has security!!! And there was a movie about him with my favorite, unrepeatable Gerard Depardieux starring.
1981 - Bob (Robert Nesta) Marley died. Say "Ya, I'm a rasta-man". Nobody knows what rasta means. You need to smoke at least two bags of weed to really understand the depth of that kind of music, also known as raggey.
1988 - Kim Filby, one of the CIA founders, died... in Moscow. He was a Soviet spy! Keep your friends close and enemies closer.
1927 - American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences founded. Yes, it's THAT Academy those actors "would like to thank" but never actually do! Have you noticed? They all say "I'd like to thank the Academy". But they never DO thank them!!! Weird...
Stay cool Leo
