Jonathan's Journey Jonathan is a four year old little man and mommy's hero. He is very bright, very independant and loved by all who meet him. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia on Friday Sept. 26, 2003, the worst day of my life. Jonathan's cancer didn't respond to the chemo protocol they initaily started him on so right before Christmas the doctors decided that a bone marrow transplant would be his best option. So after a short vacation at home, a couple months of high dose chemo and total body radiation the transplant went very successfully on April 14th,2004. ******Jonathan was diagnosed with EVB/Lymphoma July 2004. He was in ICU for five weeks and is out and doing great on the fourth floor. October 2004, he is at home where he belongs and doing better!!! March 2005 the traceostomy came out and there is no sign of leukemia or lymphoma and God is Great!!!

Friday, August 19, 2005 10:11 PM CDT Hey Everybody, Sorry it's been ao long since I gave an update, but things are wonderful. Jonathan is doing wonderful , he's growing and playing and starting kindergarden and enjoying life like none of this ever happened. The doc's say he's as normal as they come. The only thing is that the lymphoma that he had last summer set his T-cell growth back a bit so he really not where he should be as far as that goes but you couldn't tell it by looking at him he hasn't had any infections or fevers or anything since April, so until his T-cells get to where they're supposed to be I'm going to home school him, his doc says his body should be caught up with it self around x-mas time so maybe he can go to school next semester. He's got his first loose tooth and is so proud of his self he can finally do something that big brother can do loose teeth. Big brother Jacob started second grade today and told me that he didn't want to be a little kid anymore so that broke my heart, but I'll learn to live with it I guess. Little sister Jadon (paprika) is 18 months old today and runs the whole house and she keeps us all on our toes. She's still the best and sweetest baby ever and so smart those of you who know her you know what I mean she's always been a wonderful easy going baby and a heaven sent. I hopefully will begin nursing school again when jonathan is able to go to school so other than that I sit at home and tend to kids and clean when I get the urge I've become lazy and put on a few pounds but I think I deserve the break after the last year and a half of living at St. Jude, We go back once a month for a quick checkup and that's our reminder of where we've been and how far we've came and next month it will be two years since hhis dfiagnoses and the time has flown by and at the same it feels likes it's been 100 years you all know how I feel. Well thanks for checking in on us and I'll try to update more never stop praying even when things are going your way they can change in an instant and my prayers are with you all. Hey little miss Stormy hope your doing graet Ms. Amanda loves you and your family we'll be back at St. Jude Aug, 30th love you to little Lucas solberg your such a beautiful child and may God be in the heart of every St. Jude child. God Bless and be with you always, The thankful mother of Jonathan Andrew Haynes
