Sean's Room

Welcome to Sean Matthew Fredella's Web Page. It has been provided to keep people updated about Sean's illness. Sean was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia - B Cell (ALL) on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2003. Sean completed his chemotherapy successfully but relapsed with the diagnosis of leukemia in his central nervous system (CNS) on November 7, 2005. Following two years of additional therapy, Sean suffered a second relapse on December 3, 2007. We thank our family and friends for the many prayers.

Hello friends,
Well, Sean left for camp on Monday June 8. I was okay, until the bus drove off. Then... the flood gates opened and I cried like a baby. I was so sad. It was killing me to see him go off without me. Ryan looked at me and said, "Mom, are you crying? (child was stunned) Did you cry when I went to camp?" He thought I was crazy.
I picked Sean up at Camp Smile A Mile yesterday. All the counselors said that he was a joy to have around and that he did great. He talked all the way home about camp and all the fun that he had. It really warmed my heart.
Please pray for the Weiman family. They were next to us on transplant. Their precious little boy, Ethan, passed away. He was such a joy. My heart is aching for our friends.
I am thanking God every day for our miracle, Sean. I am so glad he is home with me.
God bless.
Nell
