Hi to David Ellis,

I was a school mate of yours at Friends...a class or so later (1966). Just wanted to convey my good wishes for a successful recovery. As one who rides and has had a couple of incidents, I empathize with you. The long road home is worth every step, every drop of sweat, every ounce of determination and defiance.

Best,
Steve Autman

That's super!

I just can't get enough of the Burnette Family!!!

I can imagine how the "extra" theoretical positive thoughts of the BMT must have helped to instill more peace in you with your decision to transplant! I know I still struggle with that decision.

Kate seems to be doing well--just as I would have expected. I think Bowen must have the same strong personality that keeps him fighting & us (as parents) begging for mercy.

Thanks (as always) for helping me keep our struggles in perspective. You two are quite the mentors to Jarid & I.

Godspeed, Jacy Downey

Hey Lesley,
I went into Weatherly Elementary today to check out one of my kids and I saw this determined little bit of a girl barreling down the hall on her crutches. A teacher was having to run to keep up with her. I thought, "I recognize that girl." It was Kate! I was so surprised. I thought Kate was at Holy Spirit. If she is always at Weatherly, I will look forward to seeing you around.

Kate,

I go to Aldersgate church and see you there on occasion. I want you to know I think you are a remarkable young lady. Your strength and courage are way beyond your years. What a joy you must be to your family. God bless you!
