Eight years ago today was the saddest day of our lives because our precious little Clayton died. He brought so much joy to our lives and we are so thankful that God blessed us with 19 1/2 months. He was truly a miracle that we miss every single day. Please say a little prayer for our family, this is always a tough day to endure. Some teenage girls wrote this story for our family and I would like to share it with you!

Our Dearest Clayton,
Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but it is the middle that counts the most. "Clay boy", we just want you to know that you will never be forgotten, replaced, or unloved. Your family misses you every second, hour, and minute of each day. You have a baby sister who is four now. She is named after you, Mary Clayton, and she looks almost identical to you. Although, Mary Clayton couldn't meet you she hears about you all the time, as if she met you herself. We truly know she misses you as much as the family of yours that met your precious self. Mary Clayton may have fixed a piece of your moms broken heart but it will never be fixed as it was the day you came into her arms as a little new born. However, Clayton that is not the only sister that misses you so dearly. Your big sister Cameron misses you very much too. You are always with her in many different ways. She has a necklace with your picture on it. She will always have you in her heart and close by her when she is having a bad day. Cameron is still flipping around at every moment of her spare time as she did before. She loves you and misses you.
Clayton, your daddy misses you more than anything in the world does. He will always be known as "Coach Cooper" to us. He would have taught you all he knew to be a good athlete. He now teaches Cameron and Mary Clayton soon, how to play. We love your daddy very much. He is always there for us and does everything he can to make us a better person on and off the field. He will always love you and miss you.
Clayton, there are no words in the world that could explain how much your dear mama misses you and loves you. Clayton, you are always on her mind. She is getting along very well, but deep inside she still shows sorrow. Your wonderful mother has lost one child, but she has gained many girls who look to her as a mother figure. Clayton your mama is a wonderful woman and an amazing mother. Sometimes we wonder how she has so much patience and time for us, when she has a burden that she carries everyday. We can always look to your mother for Christian advice no matter what the circumstances are. We know she will always listen and help us in anyway she can. Your mother is a blessing to everyone she is with, and no matter where life takes us we will never forget how wonderful she is. She makes a difference in our lives because of the way she makes such a good Christian influence on us. Clayton you are more than just a little baby boy who had heart problems. You may have only lived for a very short time, but the life you lived made a difference more than you would think. Your death made many people have faith in our Lord. When we look into your mothers eyes we can see the love she has for us and the comfort knowing you are in Heaven with God. Clayton your heart may have been poor when it was on this cruel earth, but it is a beautiful and healthy one in Heaven with our Father.
Clayton, when you meet your little sister Mary Clayton you will be glad to see how she helped your family through the tragedy they faced with you passing away and going home to heaven. Clayton, your family did not know why God would take you away so fast, but they know it is all in His hands. Clayton, we love you so much!

You may be out of our sight, but never out of our mind,

Anna, Kelly, Molly, and Sara Kate

Thank you for all the love, prayers and support!
