A hopeful spirit...
Someone who plays the game
Even when the game is called life...
Especially when the game is called life.
There can be a champion in all of us,
If we live as a winner,
If we live as a member of a team,
If we live with a hopeful spirit,
For life.

To those of you who may still visit Cody's page...just wanted to let you know that after his yearly scans & bloodwork, it was discovered that his thyroid had been damaged by radiation. He was sent to a specialist at Vanderbilt & after examination he discovered an abnormal nodule...confirmed by ultrasound. Next step...biopsy. The biopsy of the nodule was positive for Papillary Thyroid Cancer : ( Next step...surgery to remove the thyroid & lymp nodes. This was performed on Friday, May 16. Surgery went well & the Dr. is confident that the cancer was contained to the thyroid. We should know for sure by the end of this week. Pending the pathology report, likely treatment will be radioactive iodine. Other than soreness, stiff neck & fatigue, Cody is doing rather well. We ask that you would continue to remember him in your prayers.
